Great suitcase to travel with peace of mind knowing that the airport belts will not chew the wheels. Sturdy and safe.The only downside it has only 2 wheels... so I have to put a little more effort on pulling it...

I haul heavy-ish electronics and was tired of paying excess weight fees. This is a good answer that’ll pay for itself quickly.

I have used Pelican cases for a while, but this is my first “air” case. Sturdy, easy to carry at an airport. And looks great. First time in a while someone complemented my luggage. Worth every penny.

The media could not be loaded. This box is amazing, durable and lightweight. I have gotten rid of my other suitcases and am just sticking with this from now on.

Travel

I have only flown twice now with checked luggage - both times with this case. I typically don't travel long enough to need this much luggage, but this fit the bill. I am confident in Pelican's warranty if it fails - they will make it right. It is important however, if the Airline damages it - make a claim with the Airline!The price for this case vs mid grade luggage is similar, but you get a much better case that should last a lifetime. I opted for the Plain Air rather than the TRVL, and use a Nanuck TSA lock. I will eventually upgrade the latches to add two TSA locking latches.Overall, other than the higher than normal COVID era price, this is a home run. Stop searching for a checked case that you worry about the zippers breaking, and go with a Pelican!

This is an awesome luggage box! I wanted something that will last many years & would withstand the abuse of bag loaders. I work in the commercial airline industry & have countless stories of bag loaders going through people's stuff in bag bins, or luggage just busting open & all kinds of embarrassing things falling out or all over the ramp. The holes for installing a key or pad lock are perfect.Daily I find luggage wheels on every plane, in the cabins, & in the forward & aft cargo bins. On this box the wheels are nicely tucked in, so they're not easily knocked off. If they are knocked off, it looks easily replaceable.Though I normally pack simple clothes & toiletries, the gate agents always think I'm checking a firearm, so it usually gets careful attention. At the luggage reclaim, they don't even load it on the baggage claim carousel. I've had to pick it up in either the large luggage pick up area, or I get called to the desk for ID check, & then it's personally returned to me. It's kind of annoying but nice since it seems like extra care is given to my undees & t-shirts. Lol

Pelican is a great buy. the fact that its 400 dollars is outrageous though. I mean. If your traveling alot and you need to really protect something go for it. The wheels are mostly hidden and the handles are great. I love pelican products just wish they werent so proud of them.
