Reliable Moisture Control, Price Could Be Better
These Dry and Dry silica gel beads work exactly as expected. The beads are clean, consistent in size, and absorb moisture fast for storage bins, gear cases, and 3D printing filament. They do the job well, but the price is a little high compared to similar bulk silica options. Good performance, not the strongest value.

Works great and reusable.
Arrived dry and works great. Decent value for the price. Does not change colors, but a hygrometer or visually looking at the size is a good indicator of when they need to be recharged in the microwave.

good stuff. no indicator but no poison either.
it's silica gel, it keeps things dry. Importantly, it's not the colored "indicator" kind that is apparently poisonous.

Seems like it works
Used to keep 3d printer filaments dry inside of an air tight cereal container. Seems to work for that purpose. Seems like it maintains humidity ok but nothing amazing. Does not cause humidity to stop just keeps it from going up. I can maintain about 20% RH with these. I can't seem to get below that regardless of how much I dry the box or filament.

Keeps my Filament Dry!!
I am using the silica gel to dry an airtight box for 3D Printing Filament. Some 3D printing filament is hygroscopic and sucks the moisture out of the air. Using Silica Gel is a fast easy and reusable way for me to keep my filament from becoming waterlogged and sounding like bacon frying on a skillet. I Bought a pack of cotton bags for the purpose of being able to dump "spent" Beads on a baking tray and dry them in my oven. you can reuse the really nice heavy-duty bottle that comes with your beads and create a cycle of beads. Update: These are keeping my filament nice and dry, I have a 51 l gasketed storage container that all of my filament is currently sitting in right now. I have about 300 G of the silica gel in muslin cotton bags. The container started out at about 33% relative humidity, and after adding the silica gel over the course of 2 hours dropped to 10%. It has since stayed at 10% for the past few days. This silica gel is working fantastic, and the fact that you can put it in your oven and reactivate it makes it a worthwhile purchase for keeping filament dry at least. 10 out of 10, very satisfied with this product.

Not much to say, it works.
Not much to say. It works. It drys my 3d printing chamber. Keeps the humidity at 10% in a 60% room. I haven't tried to dry it when it gets saturated yet, but I have little reason to doubt that it will be a problem.

How dry I am....
These dessicant beads do one thing and they do it well. They take up moisture. My use is mainly for drying wood, but they have many other uses. The value in these is that you can refresh them - baked in a low oven for a couple of hours and you are ready to go! These beads are a white color, and do not change colors to indicate when they are no longer able to work and need to be dried. This does make them less expensive than the indicating beads that change color when they have dried all they can. I bought a container of the indicating beads and now have bought several containers of these non-indicating beads. I mix them well in a 5-gallon bucket. When the indicating beads change color, I know it is time to bake the lot and rejuvenate them. It is literally as easy as that. Note that these are the larger size beads, not really suitable for drying small, delicate, things such as flowers. If you want to do that, look for the smaller ones.

really great to absorb water for 3d filament storage
I added these silica desiccant beads in nylon organza bags to the storage bins and bags for my 3d printing filament. I dried it to make sure it was ready go and it didn't really need to. The microwave re-charge instructions were really easy to follow and worked great too. just a small bag of desiccant will dry out a medium sized storage tote or a large plastic filament bag quickly. I needed to get different humidity sensors because this stuff really drops the humidity levels. The pic shows my old sensors stuck on 26% and the newer, more accurate gage reads 4%. I'm not sure how long they last but we'll see and I can post an update with more info. Highly recommended for drying 3d printer storage bins.
