Kid loves it.

They dont show this movie any more so it gives you a chance show the young children about the spirit of giving

The DVD has the original Christmas special (about the harmonica) and a few others (including one and a lonely neighbor on Alvin's paper route.) I got it because I've wanted to show my child the special and they haven't aired or streamed for the last 2 years at least. I assumed it was because of the video quality, but it isn't that bad.Haven't listened to the CD yet. Happy with purchase.

what's there to say? if you bought this you knew what you were getting and it's exactly that. a through back to when Saturday mornings meant something and were an event not just the first morning of the weekend when mommy and/or daddy didn't have to go to work. i really bought this for my daughter. she's only 2 now, but I want her to have decent cartoons not the stuff kids have now. not to knock this stuff, but kids should be kids as long as they can and mature when they're ready...or when i'm reading to kick them out the house.Now I want all 80s kids to sing with duhdonutman "we're the chipmunks. C H I P M U N K.....do do do-do-do do." bet you smiled ;)

How can you go wrong with the Chipmunks? You can`t,,whether your buying it for yourself, your kids or your grandkids you will make someone very happy...Your never to old for The Chipmunks! I bought this movie for my grandsons and they won`t stop watching it, sources tell me all the adults in the home love it too! You can`t go wrong if you buy this movie! Your kids will love it! The movie includes them performing their classic The Christmas Song which made it worth every penny I paid...Enjoy!

Great movie, especially if you love alvin and the chipmunks TV shows. Delivery not so good, took forever to ship.

My nephew likes the funny voice that the chipmunks talk in. He has a plush version of Alvin. My nephew loves watching this and would watch it over and over again if it didn't drive me nuts to hear chipmunk voices 24/7.I like the thoughtfulness of the golden harmonica story and selflessness shown by Alvin and believe it is a good thing to show my nephew.

Cd is dirty and some scratches I hope it will work

The main reason I ordered this DVD was for the original Chipmunk Christmas special from 1981, which I grew up with but has become increasingly hard to track down over the years. It was the story about how Alvin helped a sick boy named Tommy by giving him his Golden Echo Harmonica. The other2 specials are from the late 80s cartoon series.

I love the '80s Alvin & the Chipmunks. Not that CGI isn't nice, but you can't go wrong with cartoons.
