AMAZING but Original Stilts not XTREME Stilts
My 8 year old is loving the challenges of moving through the house as tall as his parents. My 5’11” husband even gave them a spin. Very sturdy and heavy duty without being heavy. Steel not aluminum! My friends had some that had extensions and that is what I thought I was purchasing. When I reached out to Geospace they were quick to upgrade my purchase to enhance the challenge for my son. The Original Stilts by Geospace are great if you rather not have extra pieces and content with the 9 or so inch lift from the ground. Overall these are functional, fun for kids and adults, and can enhance agility and balance.

Good for grownups, too!
My 4 year old wanted stilts, and so I could help her to learn how to use them, I bought a pair for myself. I am about 5'6", medium build, and these are more than sturdy enough for me. The weight limit indicated on the package is 210 lbs. They would be too long for my 4 year old, who is about 42" tall - they won't adjust down to that size at all, but I think they're not meant to. I bought her a smaller pair of a different brand. I had stilts as a kid, but that was 30 years ago. I found that it came back fairly quickly with these. If you're just starting out, you will need someone to steady you as get on these things (that seems to be the hardest part). They adjust at convenient increments, have a gripper bottom that so far hasn't left marks on my wood floor, and are very easy to put together. I really like them and have no complaints. Now mommy gets to have fun, too!

good for little beginners
These are a lot of fun but my daughters (9 and 12) mastered them almost immediately and started complaining that they could not adjust them to be taller. The stilts themselves have adjustable handles to accomodate different heights of users, but the actual distance from the ground is not adjustable. Maybe that's a good thing --a fall from 11 inches is a lot better than a fall from 3 feet and we're not exactly trying out for the circus. Also, these are very sturdy--I comfortably walked around on them and I'm pretty much pushing their advertised weight capacity.

Great family gift
10 year old twin recipients loved them, as did brothers ages 12-16, and parents. Good for motor skills and balance, lots of fun and races. Sturdy build and will take kids from 4' up easily, secure pins allow height changes.

Great toy
This was bought for a 12 year old girl. She was able to get the hang of walking on them within a few minutes. They are well made and easy to assemble and adjust. From the package insert in the box, it looks like you can also buy extensions to make the stilts taller. I am always looking for ways to get kids moving around (and out from behind a video screen), these do the job nicely and take up less room than a bike. These also adjust more than low enough for my 9 year old.

Loads of fun BUT, Check height before buying!
The stilts themselves are great. They are sturdy, attractive, and very easy to put together. My only quip is with the age recommendation. My 6 year old son who is tall for his age wasn’t able to fit these. The shoulder/back support bar came up too far on his back. While the manufacturer recommends this for 6 and up it would realistically fit arm 8 or 9 year old better. We ended up taking the top piece of and just using the bottom piece with with the hand supports on the tallest peg. This worked like a charm and now everyone is able to use them without adjustment. We basically made them into the jr. stilts that they also sell.

My students love these
Great for teaching balance. Fun just to walk around in and probably much safer than the 4 foot off the ground ones my grandpa made for us kids.

kids love stilts!
Our daughter really wanted stilts for her 5th birthday, we got these ones and have not been disappointed. They are actually quite a bit too long so that her arm pits do not sit over the right spot. That however, has worked out great! She just holds on to the handles and the arm rests that bend back make an place awesome for adults to hold onto. We do need to help her balance and the design makes it easy and comfortable. Our 3 and 2 year old were also able to use them with guidance. The metal is very sturdy and the feet have good traction grippers. We have gotten a lot of use out of them already! All three kids have fun with the stilts plus my husband and I sneek in turns and have fun as well!

I am writing this review on Christmas day night. I bought these for my just turned nine year old daughter, who had specifically asked for stilts. I was a little but sceptical about these because it had an average of 2 stars, but I bought them nonetheless. Oh. My. Goodness. My daughter LOVES them. And I mean LOVES them. She has declared them her best present ever in 'all her years!!' Takes a bit of getting used to but by 3pm today she was off and there's no stopping her now. Her brothers and sisters are all clamouring for a go, they really have been the biggest hit. Such a refreshing change to buy something they love that doesn't involve a screen, headphones and expensive software!! Seriously, if you are debating about whether or not to buy these, debate no more. Just buy them. Amazing product, and I have a happy, happy daughter, so what more could I ever have asked for!!

Fantastic. Bought for special needs son who lives to do things by himself but struggles with practising. It is important for him to be able to achieve quite quickly or he becomes anxious. These are spot on and with the added bonus that his teenage sister and we adults can also mess about on them. Great buy.

I suggest these are good for older children and adults to use. The size can be intimidating to young children because the foot rests only go so low.
