Can't go wrong paying for St. Croix rods!
Very happy with my two St Croix surf rods. Extremely light and flexible, but strong to reel in the big ones! Very well made.

Broke after 5th Catch
BUYER BEWARE! I got this rod as a birthday gift on Sept 2020, did not use it until July of 2021. After a solid day of fishing, on my last fish, the rod broke. I have not been able to get a hold of customer service, amazon nor st croix. Absolutely devastated this happened and even worse customer service is not reachable or responsive. I think there are better options that will last you longer and not crush your wallet. To spend $189 on a rod like this and get left out to dry is unacceptable. If St Croix or amazon wants to respond and resolve this issue, I am happy to do it and would appreciate that very much

Great rod company
Rods are very good I just prefer the avid for the surf but this is a great rod with great quality at a good value

Its St. Croix man
Mine came in a hard case and the rod is sweet! I use it for surf fishing mostly and it casts big mullet a mile. I cought a couple snook, 40+ inch slobs, pulled them against the tide out from under a bridge. The rod performed perfectly.

Bad shipping
Rod is OK but shipped in plastic sleeve only. Even the UPS man was horrified and shocked it hasn't broken. Was going to order a second for my son but didn't because of lousy shipping.

The rod broke on the very first cast. However, St Croix customer service immediately shipped out a new one. I’m very satisfied with their response

Very good quality build. Just wish it was a bit more sensitive to feel the bite and aid in hookups for smaller fish.

I cannot believe what I received. It was literally a broken rod that looked like it was 20 years old. The eyes are rusted out. The thread used to reinforce the eyes was pretty much a shoe lace.
