I purchased a couple options and this ended up being my favorite. It's quite stable but light and accepts a VESA tripod mount without any trouble. The little arms don't cover up the screen at all either. The springs make it feel firm but not like it's going to break or apply too much pressure to my portable monitor either.

I have this mounted to some random generic arm. I bought a 15.5 inch monitor of Amazon for a Black Friday deal and decided to hang it in my van on the wall that I built. Even though it's been hanging up there for about 5 months it hasn't failed yet It was super easy to put together it's spring loaded and it will fit just about any type of portable monitor I would imagine depending on the how deep the monitor is mine fits in there very nicely plenty of access for my cables on the side. Seems very sturdy and well built hopefully it doesn't malfunction or break but if it does I'll definitely order another one. The testimony to the quality of build on this is that it is withstanding van life throughout the winter months. Being driven down the road or speed bumps potholes rough terrain whatever, it's holding my monitor on the wall without any issue. And it hasn't rusted either.

When I first got this mount, I thought it was broken. One side is spring-loaded, the other just slides out. It wouldn’t hold my 13 inch iPad Pro, really frustrated, I started a return. Then I accidentally noticed the screw holes on the other side...One side actually needs to be fixed in place with screws (included). My fault for not reading the manual. Looks like other reviewers made the same mistake but they thought it was broken, hence gave 1 star.VIVO should either put a note on the back or ship it with that side pre-attached to avoid confusion. Dropping one star for the unintuitive design.Now that it’s set up correctly, it works perfectly with my iPad Pro 13 inch.

Finally! I've gotten a temporary clamp that I don't have to screw my display tablet directly into so I can save more poor, aching back!I bought this along with a Vesa gas spring mount (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T3KCQ94/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) so that I'd have a better digital artwork set up for the sake of my health and possible future art streams. I'd been hunting down a solution that works with my Huion Kamvas Pro 16 display, but everything that was in a single piece was either too wobbly or too small. This one fits my tablet perfectly. It wouldn't fit anything bigger, so definitely look at the specs on the Kamvas Pro 16 if you are looking for a similar solution, but this is fantastic for me. Really easy to install onto the mounting arm as mine came with thumb screws.Really, this is going to be such a benefit to my work and health and I'm so happy to finally have it set up.

This is built solid, better then I expected, so definitely buy more, The only issue is those rubber feet aka protectors that keep the metal arms from touching monitor fall off, just like so many products, why not glue them securely so they dont come off, just about every product out there has this issue, Now I have to get more or make something, Otherwise, excellent product, I am pointing to one of the arms or tabs that hold monitor lost the rubber like I said, all products do, like rubber feet on modems, dvd players and so on, that is the only disappointing thing,, the best picture I could get

The thumbscrews for the top clamp is a mistake. Double spring mounts work much better. With this I can't mount my S8 Ultra secure enough. In landscape i could easily pull out my tablet. While in portrait mode, the tablet slides on a nudge.Really not a fan of how the clamps look either, the prongs point out too much and are visually distracting in my opinion.

This universal VESA mount works well for my 15 inch portable monitor. It holds the monitor nicely, but you do need to be careful when adjusting or moving it, as it doesn’t grip the monitor super securely. Good value overall if you handle it gently.

Works great if your size fits, so take some measurements. My 15.6 portable that had a slim bezel was too small to "grab" as only 1/2 the arms are spring restrained. So the minimum size is dictated by the spring side that holds it.My larger bezel fit barely enough to be "grabbed" but worked. If there was a way to latch or make the arms smaller on one size this would easily fit larger and smaller things (phones, tablets, and portable.I hope someone corrects me, because there should be a catch to the non spring arm as 15 inches is supposed to be the high size.Worked for me, but caution to my tablet crew, those are smaller than mine and this would not hold them in portrait.Again I could have a defective latch as it seems silly the free arm can't lock to smaller sizes, but bonus is this holds my 17" portable monitor PERFECT.Bends and moves great. Paired mine with a cheap gas spring monitor arm and its deluxe.
