These are not just for boots. I also use them for my shorts. Our new house has a walk in closet with a lot of hanging room, but not much shelving. I had to get creative with hanging items I never hung before: shoes, hats, boots, shorts. These hooks were the key to my organized closet! I was able to hang my boots and my shorts with these clips. I also plan to hang my leggings and scarves in the future once I order some more of these. I wanted to make sure that they held the items well and could hold a bit of weight and not damage the items that were hung before I ordered more of them. They did ALL of the above! I am so pleased with the quality of these hooks. My shorts stay on the hangers until I take them off, and same with my boots. My three year old has even been playing with several of these hooks and hanging them up, clipping them, unclipping them and they have withstood his aggressive hanging techniques. I can’t rave enough about the quality and function of these hooks. They have held everything I’ve used them for without damaging or creasing the items. They are now a closet must have for me.
