Startup - A Business Game for All Ages

I am a business professor at a community college. The game was purchased to play during class. Once the students picked up the rules of the game, they had a blast!!! Works well even with a large group of 29 students. They were divided up into teams. Even after an hour and fifteen minute class, these students wanted more time.

This games is good but directions are not so easy. We Googled the game to find better instructions. It’s educational and fun once you figure it out.

Bought it to use as a reward time in Entrepreneurship class for 14-17 year olds. There is no decision making in the game. Wish I hadn't bought it.

I teach an Entrepreneur class to a group of 9-12 year olds. So as I was exploring fun options to help them learn business concepts, I came across this game. And I'm SO glad I did! This game is genius! My 15yr old daughter and 11 year old son tried it out with me for the first time so I could get a feel for it,and we ALL just LOVED it. In fact, my kids didn't want to stop playing. We played 3 hours, then HAD to leave to soccer practice, and right when we got back they played another 2 hours (even then they didn't want to stop, but it was time for bed! ) My class will LOVE IT! I'm so excited to share it with them! (I'll update my review after class! ) There are a lot of great details to this game! It's so fun to hear my kids talk about investments! Start up is my new favorite game!Update! My class LOVED it! It actually got quite competitive! It was great to get to know the game ahead of time, so that it went smooth when I taught it to them. They partnered up, and just HAD a blast !

Start Up is unique board game that successfully incorporates real business themes and concepts into a fun and accessible game for all. Every time I play Start Up, the game takes a new twist, appropriately symbolizing the unpredictable nature of financial markets. Some of my friends have already seen the game in their college classes. It is definitely one of the hot new board games out there.

Too many things were missing from the box and this made the game difficult to play. Very disappointing and frustrating that so many pieces were missing.

My kids love this game. Great for the 10 year old. But even my 7 year old can follow the steps. They have been playing it on playdates and with each other. It's a unique and interesting game that teaches about business. The use of the business vernacular is a good introduction to a new world. They enjoy that it's multi-faceted and has different ways of succeeding within the game. Great for boys and girls. Get this game and your kids will be entertained AND learn something.

This is such a fun, yet challenging game. My 9 year old really gets it and wants to play all the time. Its a little complex for my 7 year old, but she likes to follow along. The game is kinda tough to follow the first time you play, but after a couple of times its really exciting and easy to understand the game play.
