ACDelco GM Genuine Parts 25828247 Engine Mount

Replacing motor mounts is not something you would want to have to do twice due to inferior replacement parts. I'm not an "OEM-or-nothing" type and always compare aftermarket replacements and/or upgrades to OEM parts wherever possible and reasonable. The OEM ones are designed and tested by engineers to last a certain number of miles and/or years and not just beyond a 90-day warranty like most aftermarket replacement parts. Most of the reviews I read of cheaper aftermarket mounts didn't mention them failing, but mentioned them being made of a different and much firmer rubber and they transmitted more engine vibrations to the passenger areas. This prompted me to spend the extra on OEM parts. I mean, the original ones they're replacing have gone over 180,000 miles and they're still "good". I'm replacing them because I have the motor out for other repairs and now's a perfect time to do so. While they haven't failed, the rubber in them is hardened from age/weathering so I'm expecting a slightly smoother idle feel once it's all back together with the new mounts.

Perfect fit since it's an OEM product. Installed on my 2006 Silverado 2500 with 6.0 engine. Install is easy if you know what you are doing. Can take about an hour or two depending on your experience. Only replaced mine because when I installed a new motor mount the bolt attached to this support sheared off when trying to remove it. The bolt has red locktite from the factory and broke since I used an air impact.
