It works well for what you pay for it. For us, we accept the potentially shorter life as compared to other models, but the cost offsets it to about an even trade-off. Easy to install for our KDF-50. Will continue to buy when we need replacements. Rating is based on price, function, and durability (overall "value"). There may be cheaper ones or more name-brand ones, but this worked for me.

I must say I was leary ordering a generic bulb but could not justify the $50 price difference of this one worked just as well. I loved that for the price it also came in the housing. That being said, I was nervous it wouldn't fit perfectly or would somehow not be as good. Boy, was I nervous for nothing. It took all of 60 seconds to install. The picture is so much better than it was with the Sony brand bulb. It looks like a brand new television. The picture is beautifully crisp and bright. I am thrilled. I'd also like to report that this company's customer service emailed a follow up inquiring on my satisfaction which I thought was lovely. I am thoroughly satisfied and will order another as a back up. What a great experience. My Sony bulb lasted 10 months. We will see how long this lasts. I highly recommend this product. A great value and a great product. I honestly think that it is providing a better picture than the name brand, $79.00 bulb I previously had.

This is not an OEM replacement lamp and at less than a quarter the cost, I did not expect it to be. Packaging was simple enough to allow the lamp housing to dislodge from the slits in the box that were supposed to hold it in place. No plastic wrap or tape to remove from the lamp, just a lamp in a box. It even came with instructions on how to bend back the metal frame should it be bent in shipment. I guess this happens a lot? That said, the lamp was absolutely NOT damaged in any way and performs as expected. It takes slightly longer to warm up to full brightness, but this is not particularly annoying at all - maybe 10 seconds at the most. No big deal. Overall brightness also seems slightly under OEM, but I have no equipment to measure this, just my eyes. Brightness is still better than my old warn out lamp so I'm happy and, for the money, I would buy another based on my initial feelings. Time will tell if the lamp fails prematurely or not.

This product was bought to replace the existing lamp in my TV. At first it seemed to brighten up the screen, but gradually got dark again. As a last resort I put the original lamp back I the TV and the brightness returned. I was not please when I first received this bulb with its limited brightness, but gave it a chance. Now it is totally failed, too dark to see most shows in less than 90 days and I can not find a way to contact the supplier

Easy to install - finding instructions via Google. Lasted May '24 to Aug '25. No warning - just 'bam'! The prior lamp I had lasted in excess of 10 years.

Works very well. I was worried because several reviews said it was hard to install, but there were good instructions (with pictures) in multiple languages. It took me less than a minute to switch it out and have the TV up and running better than I have seen it (it was given to us 2nd hand, but the lamp needed replaced right away). So far so good. I will certainly update review if we encounter any problems.

Very pleased with this product. Mine all lasted for about a year or more. Yours will too if you monitor your picture settings well. I have ordered this same bulb 3 times now (July 6 2018, Feb 14, 2020 and last week). It lasts about a year or longer each time. I did notice that if I changed the settings to make the picture brighter then the life of the bulb did change. This last delivery included a free package of masks "made in the USA". I loved that surprise.

I purchased this lamp for my Sony Wega KDF46E2000 TV. The Lamp arrived quickly, packaged well, installed easily, and works well. The picture is clear and bright with the new lamp. Found this item to be a great value, especially since the last lamp I purchased was $90 and this one was only $29. Thank you for a great product.
