Pretty sure this is what helped my smoke problem
I burn bituminous coal as my main source of heat and it makes a lot of soot.I stumbled onto this product and figured it was worth a try.Right after getting this my draft wasn't pulling the smoke up the chimney.After the first time I saw great improvement.Anecdotally, Soot Remover is the only thing I changed

This product works very well to keep your stove clean and free of creosote
Been searching for this soot remover for a long time ,Rutland had but discontinued it I tried the other removers that were light in color but didn’t work as good as this product which has a rust clay color to it,works very well

What a mess!!
Like other reviewers, this came in a plastic container which was not taped down. Dust everywhere in the box and the container is about half empty. Not happy.

Works, but at what price.
Kept the chimney from building up as bad and burning the flu, but killed the blower fan on the pellet stove.
