You have to click on the small dot like mechanism to release the lock as shown above in the video. When you click in from right, it will unlock and left to lock. It’s really helpful if you have kids in house, or people who over use sanitizer/sprays

Can u use it for watercolor ?

As long as the water color is thin, watery, more like water, sure you can use it as spray. But once the substance thickens, you can't use. One more likely problem, the nozle pores could get clogged with the color particles and obstruct flow.
