Perfect martini glasses, versus current trend of martini goblets
Anyone remember when a martini was a martini? Or when a martini glass wasn’t a fish bowl? This perfect set will take you back to those golden days of the perfect, real, well chilled, straight up martini. The crystal is indeed good crystal, so my only warning is to be careful as these can chip because they are fine. But I’ve bought two sets already, highly recommended as the right size to keep a drink both elegant and well chilled. And right sized to enjoy more than one should the moment meet that joy. Highly recommended.

The best martini glasses around.
Why? Because the design, proportions, quality of the glass etc. is exactly correct. At least, they are the most aesthetically pleasing martini glass I've seen. I'm not a fan of glasses with etched designs on them, or thick stems etc. These are delicate and simple. Exactly correct for what they need to be IMHO. I have six in constant rotation with a couple of backups in case one chips, which they do on rare occasions, but that's not the fault of the glasses, in fact they hold up remarkably well. I've had them for many years and they do get lots of use but still look as good as the day I bought them. Plus I've given them as gifts - it's nice to give something to someone that you think is "the best"!

The perfect glass
I had a hard time giving these 5 stars on value, but then I thought about it for a minute. Yes, these glasses are expensive, but I would not have purchased them if I didn't think they would be worth it. They are extremely well made. They are also the perfect size. In this age of huge martini glasses, it's nice to finally find one that fits the classic recipes. 3 oz of booze, stirred on ice 52 times, then strained into the glass with 2 olives leaves exactly 1/8" of headspace. Every time. Exactly as it should be.

Riedel Perfection
Purchased these as a gift for my husband who drinks single malt whiskey. They are perfect! Like all Riedel glasses, they are beautifully designed and made with attention to detail. Are they durable? Well, probably not as much as the thick glass he was given from a local distillery with their name etched into it - but who wants to drink $100 a bottle scotch from that? These are packaged with care and arrived in almost no time at all. I am ordering more for when we have guests.

Correct and classic dimensions for the connoisseur that knows how a Martini should be presented.
These Martini glasses are spectacular! Worth the money. Ignorant morons that purchase 10-12oz ( seriously??) cheap Martini glasses, please walk away. A classic Martini, enjoyed my a true connoisseur would hold 4 oz with just a “ touch” of space remaining at the top of the glass. These glasses at 4 5/8 oz capacity are absolutely perfect. The correct shape, thin stem and absolutely perfect crystal will certainly impress your guests. I would highly recommend.

Very nice but small
Big fan of Riedel glasses so I wanted to add to collection with some martini glasses. Received them and decided they were too small. The website was clear though and says how many ounces but it's hard to tell until you see the glass. These days everyone is using a much larger martini glass so it appears tiny compared to others. I ended up returning and got some others that were about 8oz glasses. If you don't mind a small martini glass (5oz) then these glasses are great.

elegant whiskey glasses
These glasses definitely bring out the best in a whiskey. I was surprised how the flared lip seemed to make a good whiskey even smoother. If you like Bourbon get these glasses. Others have commented that they think the Glencairn glass is better. I would qualify that with maybe. The Glencairn does focus the nose a bit better than the Reidel however the Reidel's shape allows you to put your nose deeper into the glass while sipping and gives a smoother sip. If you are trying to extract the last nuance of a whiskey, the Glencairn is the glass. For overall sipping experience, the Reidel. These glasses are beautifly made and have a very graceful shape.

Wonderful Enhancement
On a recent stay at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, I took part in a single malt scotch tasting sponsored by their Food and Beverage Department. The beverage director used glasses of this shape and size, and talked about how the shape of the glass can enhance the single malt experience. I was initially skeptical, but as soon as the tasting began I was convinced, and started looking to purchase a few for myself as soon as I returned home. I only rarely drink single malt scotch (too expensive) but I've found my enjoyment of those rare moments increased by 100% as a result of these glasses. They are pricey, but a wonderful way to help you enjoy your favorite single malt scotch, and I recommend them highly. Plus Amazon's prices were the best I could find when I purchased them.

I bought two of these glasses - one directly from Riedel and the other from a German company called de Casa. The Riedel glass was as expected, beautiful, delicate and what I had ordered. The de Casa was a Riedel whisky glass, but not from the Sommelier range but the less expensive, machine blown range. Avoid this company at all costs. I bought this glass for a lawyer who now has to help me get a refund from this company. I have used China Chaps in the past (also for Riedel Sommelier glasses) & can highly recommend their service. I made a mistake here, trying to save money. I won't be doing that again.
