Love these, they work- very beautiful too!
I am a plant hoarder so to speak, I just absolutely love plants my problem is, is I'm not good at keeping them watered all the time surprisingly so I have not killed too many! A coworker turned me on to these bulbs that I have heard about but wasn't quite sure how they worked. I did not want to get any that look like they were fake so was turned off by the green ones and in the multicolored ones I was really really turned off because our house is a pretty nice looking house and our furniture is pretty nice looking so I did not want anything that looked cheap. I found these and what I love about them is the way that they look I was also concerned about having all these bulbs in my plants and what that would look like but they actually add some type of Elegance to my plants and if you put them in just right you can't see the bulb! The main thing about these is it really really works! I was very dumbfounded because I just knew that something wasn't going to be right with these and there is nothing wrong with these! And I absolutely love this look so if you're looking for something elegant something chic and something that doesn't look cheap but adds a little bit of decor to your plants these are the way to go! I will say a couple of things yes there is soil that gets in the bottom of this tube the long stem part you just have to rinse it out really well for reuse. Also it is very very important that you water your plant first saturated with water and then fill this bulb up and turn it over and stick it deep into your plant not too deep but deep enough. The true tip and trick with this is that your soil needs to be wet first if you do not water your plant first these bowls won't work because it's just going to be relying on all of the water that's in the bulb. I have ordered another set of these! These are a must-have if you are a person who forgets to water plants a lot and not just for going out of town I mean for everyday reasons. Also, check your plants and see which ones really need this bulb I have about 21 plants soon to be 30;-) and I only needed to use these bulbs for four of my plants so not all of your plants will need these bulbs just look and see which ones you have to water all the time and then buy it for those plants!

Good
I bought two sets of 3. With the exception of 1, these are great. You have to angle them just right in the plant and they’re not nearly as difficult to fill as other reviews say. Just angle in the stream of water. The 1 has a very tiny hole between the ball and stick end so I’m not sure water will even go in it so minus one star. But I have 5 others. Save the packing because it works perfect to hold the ball after you’ve filled and getting ready to move to a plant. Also, use cheese cloth (or something) on the end and no dirt goes in.

Easily water your plants
The bulbs are wonderful for watering small potted plants. They are very pretty and changes colors when the sun shines on them. They are built well, very sturdy while they look like crystal bulbs. Easy to clean, just wash with dish soap and water.

They do not work well
I hoped these would keep my outside potted plants watered but they did not work. Water didn’t stay in the globe even though I saturated the dirt before placing them.

Patience pays off
It took a couple of tries to find our rhythm with these. Now that we have, we really like them. I'm glad we chose glass rather than plastic. It is more fragile, but also more beautiful! Our thirsty oxalis plants need fewer waterings (and emergency rescues). What we learned: 1. Make sure your plant is well watered before you begin. A thirsty plant will draw the water out quickly. 2. The angle at which it sits makes a big difference to how quickly it drains. As the instructions state, sitting it straight up prevents water from draining. There must be some angle, and the greater the tilt the faster the flow. Experiment with it. If it empties too quickly, straighten it a little. 3. When it's time to refill, you may want to also water the plant. Because the narrow pipette delivers a focused flow, the rest of the soil can be quite dry.

Worked great. Kept my violets alive for a 3 week vacation
My family and I went on vacation for a little over 3 weeks, and these globes kept my African violets alive and well while I was gone. I just filled them up with water and stuck them in the pots. I initially tried covering the end of the globe with cheesecloth and a rubber band, but they actually worked better and were easier to use without the covering. The hole is big enough so you can rinse the globes out later if a little dirt gets inside. Overall great buy. These are fragile, however. I bought two, 2-packs when I only needed 3 globes, and good thing I did. One pot fell over on my counter, and the globe smashed. It was only a 6 inch drop onto a Corian counter, but the globe smashed into a million pieces. Just a heads up for other klutzy people out there like me.

Ultra Thin and Fragile
Used for a few months and then one literally SHATTERED in my hand when I was rinsing it out. Didn't bump it or anything, just gripped too hard apparently? Once shattered I could see how insanely thin the glass was. They're pretty but do NOT buy. Threw the other one out immediately and just went with plastic.
