5MP PoE CCTV Camera with Human/Vehicle Detection, IR Night Vision, IP67 Waterproof Time Lapse Audio Recording, RLC-510A

My last (Non REOLink) failed, so I got this as a replacement. Slightly different as in, it's POE, a new one on me. Power over Ethernet. Previous camera had a CAT5 to the network, then a 12v power supply, this is different and similar. It has 2 x CAT5 /6 connections one of which is power from an adaptor. It replaced the faulty one easily (Though One more hole in the wall!) The price was good, resolution good, they do higher res ones but this one is fine for the driveway. Excellent field of view. The software provided is very good, lots of options, storage being one of them. Detection is excellent too. One thing I did like, you can blank out several areas to prevent false logging. In my case, the fronds of a large tree. Would buy (Will) another. I had some technical queries, the response was fast and comprehensive.

I bought this as a substitute to my Ring Flood light camera which has terrible picture quality compared to this. My Ring camera connects via Wi-Fi so if the signal drops the picture quality and connectivity speed suffers. This Reolink is wired direct with an ethernet cable so has a constant and secure connection. Being 5MP the image quality is great for what I need it for. Number plates are clear, even at a distance of approx. 50m at the other end of my road. Night vision is good as well as it still keeps detail. I use mine with a 256GB SD card which gives me approx 2/3 weeks of recording before having to write over old files so no subscription which is nice. Overall a very good camera, especially for the price you pay. I will more than likely replace my Ring CCTV with reolink cameras

Purchased this camera to keep an eye on a wind turbine, but would have many uses. Seams well made and simple to install. POE ethernet connection as long as you have a POE+ injector [Power Supply] works well. Built in microphone is very good, good sensitivity, not HiFi but that's not what its for. IR lights can be Automatic or Manual, limited range, but it is a small unit. Image quality is good, I had no issues with either the iPhone app or viewing it from Safari on a Mac. Camera has motion detection etc none of which I have tried, but no reason to suppose they would not work. 3 levels of image compression, and a 'clip' view function meaning you can define the area to watch reducing bandwidth further. iPhone app, connected to the unit without needing port forwarding set on local router, so could watch it out with the local network. Nice little camera for money. Recommended.

This is my 3rd Reaolink product. Cctv in garden started playing up.First it will not record any footage and will time sink with Souel in Korea only. But this Reaolink PoE camera is great connecting existing power supply and ethernet cable. Powered on and straight away merged with other 2 cameras.

Brilliant images and colours . 5megP. Works well with Alexa . Easy to use and install. Reolink App simple to use. Third party recording software services compliant. RTSP and Onvif so you can even use it with your windows computer or a third party software like ispy software. Well made and solid. 10 out of 10. Going to buy two more. Recommend RLC- 510A

Fundamental Camera Compatibility Issues! I ordered (from Amazon UK) and installed the "Reolink 4K 8CH NVR CCTV Camera System, 4X 5MP Security Camera Outdoor with Person Vehicle Detection, 2TB HDD for 24/7 Recording, UHD PoE IP Cameras Night Vision Audio Email App Alerts, RLK8-410B4-5MP" in August 2024. The installation was done by my son who is a qualified electrician. This Reolink system has functioned very well since installation and I am completely satisfied with it (and would be happy top rate it 5 star). However, in August 2025 I ordered these Reolink 5MP PoE cameras (Amazon UK item "Reolink 5MP PoE CCTV Camera with Human/Vehicle Detection, IR Night Vision, IP67 Waterproof Time Lapse Audio Recording, RLC-510A") to add additional external cameras to the existing system as these cameras were advertised as being the current correct compatible Reolink external cameras for this system. However, after the new cameras were delivered, my son was unable, after repeated attempts and much online research, to get them to pair up with the originally installed system. This is difficult to understand as the originally supplied and installed kit cameras paired up very quickly and with no problems to the HDD unit. Consequently I had to return the new, supposedly compatible, cameras items for refund. The refund process was, as expected, handled very professionally by Amazon UK. So, this 1 star rating is for the Reolink cameras being incompatible with the original Reolink system (contrary to the specific advertising blurb in their listing). I would rate Amazon's service for the return at 5 stars.

The quality of the camera itself is good. The resolution of the pictures and video make them useful (i.e. able to read number plates, identify faces etc). Installation is easy. I have a PoE switch with structured cabling around the house but any Poe switch with an rj45 cable will do. The angles are good so you almost don't need more than 1 to get cross over coverage. I installed mine on the soffit so didn't need to worry too much about waterproofing. I have SD cards in them as well as a server at home running the Reolink application. So I have a backup of footage being captured. The software is relatively easy to use, though there is a little bit of a translation issue at times but the Reolink support is 100% recommended, respond quickly and very helpful. I'm still tweaking the sensitivity settings so can't report back yet on any false positives. So far seems fairly consistent. I wasn't expecting the quality of the product to be this good for the price. Brand snobbery exists and whilst there are systems that are better you'll be paying significantly more for not a huge amount of gain. In retrospect I maybe should have gone for the 4k ones but honestly these are perfect.

J’utilise cette caméra Reolink 5MP depuis quelque temps et j’en suis très satisfait. Pour une surveillance simple, elle fait parfaitement le job. Elle n’a pas toutes les fonctions avancées des modèles haut de gamme, mais pour un usage domestique elle est largement suffisante. L’installation est rapide, que ce soit avec un bloc d'alimentation ou en PoE. Testée sur environ 20 mètres de câble CAT6a sans aucun souci : l’image reste stable et la connexion ne bouge pas. La qualité vidéo est très bonne, nette de jour comme de nuit, et la détection personne/véhicule fonctionne plutôt bien. Le stockage sur carte microSD est pratique pour conserver des preuves si besoin. D’ailleurs, cette caméra m’a récemment permis d’identifier des individus lors d’un cambriolage — donc elle a clairement rempli sa mission. Le matériel est robuste, la construction inspire confiance et l’orientation est facile pour bien régler l’angle de vue. Bref, une bonne caméra pour sécuriser son extérieur sans se ruiner. Je recommande sans hésiter.
