I started using my bread machine. I found that I can't cut slices in a straight line. This product solves that issue and now I have uniform slices that work great for sandwiches or toasting.The slots are not quite as sturdy as I'd like, but it gets the job done and that's all that matters to me.I'm happy with my purchase.

Not sturdy enough. The plastic will move so cuts are still not even, but overall better than trying to do it by hand! Love the ease of storage and small folding.

I buy a lot of ciabatta buns and pretzel buns that need to be sliced for sandwiches. My wife likes hers browned and cutting them by hand would often result in uneven cuts that didn't lay flat in the skillet and brown evenly.This cutter changed all that! It works well and is easy to use, but I found that it's easier to use the opposite way, so you lay the dark brown part flat on the counter and make the cuts horizontal.My only complaint is that it is very thin plastic and just feels cheap.

Not easy to use. It’s flimsy and cheaply made. Not high quality material and not a variety of slices. Terrible product. Wouldn’t take it if it was free it’s so bad

Plastic bends, making it hard to cut perfect slices and you risk shaving plastic bits with the knife.

I have made my own bread for many years. For all these years, my husband has struggled to cut the loaf of bread evenly which, to be honest, drives this girl with OCD crazy! I have tried other bread slicing guides all of which were too flimsy and resulted in a mess. Eventually, they went to the garbage and I just dealt with the uneven loaf cuts. Fast forward to my search for a new slicing guide that might work. I purchased this item because it is compact and I don't have a lot of countertop real estate and it was fairly inexpensive.I found this slicing guide to be great quality for the cost and very simple to use. I never told my husband that I had purchased it and left it folded next to my coffee maker thinking I'd have to provide a tutorial to him at some point. A few days later, he said to me how nice and easy that slicing guide was to use. I was speechless but agreed completely. He said he used it every morning when he is cutting the bread loaf for toast and was pleased with how easy it was to use and resulted in a perfect slice, depending upon how thick he wanted.I'm here to say that I can't believe such a simple, cost effective gadget could create such kitchen harmony!!! I recommend this for anyone that struggles to slice bread loaves, muffins or bagels evenly and to the desired thickness.

I love this little compact bread slicer. I saw a lot of complaints about it "moving/slipping around"...I put it on a folded kitchen towel and "moving/slipping around" problem solved. I get perfect, thin slices of my homemade whole wheat sandwich bread, it makes cuts easily without slipping, it washes up easily, and it takes up almost no space in my overcrowded kitchen (10 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound bag). Love it!

Works good but flimsy plastic. We’ll see how ling it lasts. Also, the bread presses against the back of the frame for cutting. The bread doesn’t pass through.
