Replaced windscreen on a highly used sm7b.
My sm7b has been through it all and I can say whenever you replace the wind screen it’s so satisfying, it’s really nice quality. I have to get these things every so often to replace on my mic since I have cats around. I’m sure pet owners will know how that is. Anyways, they get cat hair in the pop filter and I pick it out and it damages it. When the wind screen is damaged after years of use the amount of background ambient noise picked up is really bad. This thing really does make or break the pick up quality of the sm7b no doubt.

If you have a Shure MV7, get this
I got this awhile ago, and wanted to leave my feedback. I have both a Shure SM7B and MV7. I needed a good second mic for another PC so I got the MV7. The one thing I noticed was that as good as the MV7 is, it's really susceptible to plosives. Yes the SM7B is as well, but not as much as the MV7. I don't always like to use those larger pop filters, and just wanted something simpler. As test, I took off the windscreen from my SM7B and put it on the MV7. Wow it fits. It doesn't snap on like it does on the SM7B, but it fits just snug enough to where it won't fall off on it's own. So I ordered the RK345 (since I needed to put the other one back on the SM7B). This works great on the MV7. It doesn't entirely eliminate the plosives, but it reduces it by A LOT. Aside from using a regular pop filter, I would definitely recommend you get this.

Good upgrade for the Shure MV7
As many other reviewers have noted, this windscreen fits the Shure MV7 and is basically a necessary upgrade over the foam that comes with that microphone. The MV7 is a great mic but *super* plosive sensitive. Switching to this foam will help with that a lot, though it still has some drawbacks. PROS + Drastic improvement over MV7's included windscreen, improving tone and blocking a lot more plosive sound. + Fits the MV7 exactly (I see a review showing it doesn't go all the way on; they've either got a defective unit or have pushed it on right. Mine fits precisely.) + Makes the MV7 look like an SM7B — points for upping the look of your production suite. + Cheap! CONS - Still isn't great for close-to-mic vocal work. Plosions still get through. I suggest using a larger, rounded foam windscreen if you do right-up-on-the-mic voiceover stuff. But off-axis with a bit of distance, it's great. - Gray instead of black. Lots of other reviewers noted this. The color doesn't bother me, and it doesn't look cheap on my mic. But I would have preferred it be the dark black of my other foam windscreens.

What’s to say? It’s made by Shure, same windscreen that comes with the SM7B
Basically the title. Of course it works just as well as the original. Great for if yours gets old, torn, chipped, whatever (Let’s say you messed up trying to put the bigger one on), and really reasonably priced given the mic cost; Shure could easily set it at $30 and people would pay it. Really actually a good guy move on Shure’s part. They make an amazing mic that can last for years and allow you to make it like new with a dirt cheap OEM part, so you could keep one of these going for years. Imagine if Apple did that, rather than have phone’s batteries purposely get worse.. they’d crumble! Testament to Shure, it’s quality and it’s relationship with musicians and recording artists of all sorts. From the first Shure product in my teens, an M44 needle for a Technics 1200 (well, two), I’ve loved the brand. Maybe over the top, but considering how many manufacturers would not make it available or charge a lot to encourage new sales, it shows they intend their stuff to last. Of course the only people interested in this will already have the mic most likely so I’m preaching to the choir.

Easy to replace.
Factory product from SHURE. Mine was about 5 years old now and it was very dusty, which is fine, could have cleaned it but noticed the material beginning to degrade.

Perfect replacement for the Shure MV7
It doesn't completely eliminate plosives on the MV7, but it definitely helps. But even the Shure SM7B can still suffer from plosives if the user isn't careful with how they speak into the microphone. Not quite sure why people are complaining that it's not the right color as it matches perfectly, at least mine does! But not only does it help the MV7 in functionality, it just looks better too. So this is a very low cost upgrade that can really make a big difference!

Perfect for the Shure MV-7
I’m sure everyone has heard this countless times but, the standard pop filter that comes included with the mv-7 does not stop plosives at all. This filter for the sm7b fit perfectly and my audio is now clear and sounds as it should. It is a bit longer than the original but I actually don’t mind the look while it is on the mic. I’m not a professional when it comes to sound and I don’t know much when it comes to what is right and wrong with a lot of things related to studio quality sound. I do know what sounds good and this filter made my videos sound so much better and I notice the difference in my videos so it is perfect for me.
