This lovely tool makes life so much easier when trying to pipe hundreds of dots on the side of a cake. This is a must have!

To use you simply press this tool into the icing. You could do just the sides or the top of the cake or the whole cake. I have found this tool gets easier to use with practice as initially I was sometimes accidentally overlapping and embossing the same area twice or missing small areas.You need to ensure that you use this tool prior to your sugarpaste drying, as otherwise you will be unable to emboss. You can however pipe the dots at a later point. This tool is really easy to clean and will last a long time.This tool is an excellent guide for creating beautiful evenly spaced dot patterns and once you have mastered ensuring you do not overlap or leave gaps, is very easy to use. Producing a beautiful finish and adding texture detail and interest to cakes.It create a beautiful decorative finish to cakes - it really does look stunning. I have experimented and found it looks lovely if you pipe white dots, or dots the same colour as your icing or even a contrasting colour. However I am still mastering piping perfect dots as mine tend to have peaks! Practice makes perfect.If you wish to pipe dots in the same colour as your cake you can use the leftover sugarpaste to make a piping icing. This ensures an exact colour match. To do this you simply break off small pieces of sugarpaste and add to a mixing bowl adding the tiniest amount of water and use an electric whisk or mixer to mix- you are looking to achieve a think icing which can be piped- it should produce stiff peaks and be a very similar if not identical consistency to royal icing. If you accidentally add too much water you can simply balance this by adding more sugarpaste. Another advantage of turning sugarpaste into piping icing besides identical colour matches is that it can be made in very small quantities.I cannot recommend this tool highly enough- it creates a beautiful finish to cakes- adding texture, detail and interest.

Bought this to use on a "special" 95th birthday cake. Helped give a really professional finish and made the acurate placing of sugar pearls and mini flowers a doddle! Even the indentations that were not filled really added to the cakes appearance as they provided a v.pretty pattern.So glad I bought this tool as I was not sure if it was as good as claimed but I could not have produced the lovely finish without it-so easy to use.Tip. There are loads of excellent youtube clips by professional cake bakers that demonstrate how to use this tool.....then it's over to you!

This is the first time I used this fab tool to decorate.my daughter's birthday cake, it turn out really nice, easy to use, I've brought the polka one and ribbon one, but will certainly going for the rest of the polka tools now! Can't wait to use the tools again! Oh, did I mention the delivery was super fast too!

Fab item, just what i needed, the trick though is not to press too firmly into your icing, and also wait a while after icing the cake (I have only used it on the fondant type icing) so it "hardens" a little
