Can’t comment on longevity. Only just installed. Bought for elderly parent whose bathroom is dark. She is made up with these as they provide bright clean light. We bought the cool by mistake ad meant to get warm but she is made up with them

I have a simple view of light bulbs. I hit the switch and I'm driven back by the light. I can't stand 'mood lighting' or something that resembles a dying glow-worm's dimmer second cousin so when my halogen bubs began to die I looked for an alternative and found these. I use a lot of them in the living room and hallway so I needed18 but initially I ordered a box to see what they were like. I replaced a single bulb with one of these, switched it on and ordered another box. I now have these in all my lights. They are as bright as hell and I can actually see what I'm doing. When my wife chose new lights for the bedroom and went off to look for light bulbs I'd ordered another box of these before she got to the display. Love them!

I have only had them in a couple of days so can't comment on how long they last. They're very bright and I've found we don't need to have the main light on as much since replacing the side light bulbs as they're bright enough for our living room.
