Works good but how many people are going to spend the time to dig up literally dozens of detections in their lawn? Perhaps best used when searching for a lost item or searching a site that has had a particuar usage or history and has the potential for finds of significance.

What a great gift!!
I did a comparison of the metal detectors. This one was the best for features, price and weight. This one picks up gold. It went together easily and instructions for use were easy to learn.
