WüsthofClassic 3-Piece Chef's Knife Set, Black

My experience suggests to me that there are two kinds of knives: knives that are easy to sharpen and knives that hold their sharpness. These classic knives fit the latter description. These are very good knives that should last a lifetime. That said, you'll need more than a honing steel to keep them sharp. I've found that the Chef's Choice three-stage electric knife sharpener produces a finished edge on these knives good enough to shave with. Now I must say that the handles of two of my most-used knives (bread and carving) did crack at the rivets after more than 15 years of service. I sent them to Wusthof in exchange for a gift certificate to their online store with which I was able to replace my knives at essentially no cost.

Very nice knives to add to the collection. Both my wife and I like these better than our old cutco knives we’ve had for a while.I do sharpen with a wet stone and they stay sharp but maybe it was just time for new since we do more cooking now that we have the time.

We love our Wustoff knives and we’re glad to find this addition to our set. They hold an edge and sharpen really well. Our oldest knives are about 15 years old and still going strong

These knives are really sharp and durable. I’ve had them for a couple months already and they’re still sharp and work as it should be.

I will never buy any other knife than this one. I have used them for 20+ years and give them as gifts so others can experience these knives. Get a block and get the whole product line of these knives. They are full tang, hold an edge and balance perfectly in the hand. You won;t need any other knife.

I purchased this set because my extremely expensive set had breakage issues. I tried these as a replacement for a few pieces I could no longer use. They are sharp, durable and very well balanced. I am impressed and very happy with them. I wish I would have purchased this brand for my knife block, as I replace knives it will be with this brand.

My daughter is a chef and needed new knives for her fine dining job. She said these came recommended by her executive chef as great starter knives and they should last her a long time. She is very happy with them so far and it has improved her work performance and confidence.
