Works great for certain projects
This glue is not really meant for your entire project assuming it is a large one for small projects you can use this for every joint but the things that you would use this glue gun for it works amazingly once you figure out how to use it. I use it for my end grain miter joints you first need to make sure that they are capless and seamless then apply a small amount to one side put your miter together move it back and forth Just slightly until the glue starts to set and then push it into a square and hold for a moment and you will have a miter joint that is ready for sanding and continued work but don't think that you're going to be able to paint this glue like regular wood glue and the paint stick because it won't miter needs to be tight

Falls apart in use.. very distracting
The heater barrel attaches using a ’bayonette’ style breech mechanism. Unfortunately there is no positive latching so the barrel containing the adhesive cartridge twists and falls off. Really bad in use. I compensated by using an appropriately sized o-ring which helps keep the bayonette in compression. It would be better if there was something to keep the barrel from twisting (like a thumbscrew or even a latch)

I wanted to love this glue gun but cant
First off the glue is absolutely amazing. I build custom cabinetry and furniture for a living and the strength of the glue is top notch but it sadly ends there. Every tube of glue will leak out about a 1/4 of its contents over the course of 10 minutes. That adds up to a lot of money over the course of your average kitchen. Also the gun is flawed. It locks against the trigger so if you’re holding the gun at an angle and squeeze the trigger it will quickly twist and fall apart. Luckily I hold on to the power cord while I use it and have saved it from falling onto the concrete floor every time. For the price of the glue this product should function 100 times better but the quality of the functioning aspect of the gun just isn’t there. If I hadn’t already used it on a set of cabinets I would be returning for a refund but I don’t feel that is right since I used it for a whole job.

Creates a joint stronger than wood.
I use this product for extremely strong joints. I build a lot of handrails. Peoples safety is paramount. In the past I would use wood glue and nails. This uses a hot polyurethane melt to create a peerless bond. I now don't have to use finish nails. The appearance of the finished product is far superior than before and also the durability is on another level. It is especially useful with projects when nothing else will work and you need a professional tool.

Great glue, the tool can use some work
The hot-melt polyurethane is indeed one of the strongest, most water-resistant glues I have ever used, so that's the main selling point. The gun itself isn't very well designed and tends to come apart during use. The workaround so far is to use a little tape to keep the two sections together, so it's functional.

Worth it.
I wanted the 30 second glue. I could only get the 60 second glue. Did a couple tests. After letting it sit for about 5 minutes (we were busy working), we were able to break the pieces apart. BUT, the glue didn't fail. The wood grain did. The glue held amazing. Well worth it. Now I'm going to buy some of the other glues.

Broke quickly
I went through two cartridges, and then a wire up on the tip came loose (heating wire perhaps) and that was it. Could not insert a third cartridge. Also, I had to use the higher temperature or the cartridge's would not squeeze out. That was not an issue for me. It does make it more soupy, but it was a fix to what might be old cartridges? I really don't have another explanation for why they would not work well at the lower temperature. I have no idea who to even grip about the broken gun. It is past 30 days so Amazon can't help. Is there any manufacture out there that cares? I would guess it is made in China, just because everything else it too.

The glue is awesome. The gun isn’t.
The glue sounded, and is, amazing. If the gun heats the cartridge properly at the proper temperature it is an amazing tool. The problem is, it doesn’t. Even after giving it 30 minutes to heat the first gun and cartridge would not get the glue hot enough to flow at the recommended heat setting. So, I turned it up to the higher setting, it only has 2 settings, and that got the glue flowing. It was a bit thin but seemed to work and produced a strong joint. When I was finished I put the cap on, immediately after I was finished. Bad idea. When I went to replace the cartridge I found that glue had leaked out of the cap into the gun. After some work I managed to get the cartridge out of the gun, but as you can see from the picture, the gun was ruined. Half way through the project I ordered another gun. The second gun/cartridge worked perfectly! The glue flowed nicely at the lower temp, created a strong joint, and the squeeze out was VERY easy to remove. Not so with the squeeze out from the higher temp joints, that glue turned into something much harder to remove. Tips: 1. If the cartridge doesn’t flow at the correct temperature, try another cartridge. If it still doesn’t flow your gun may have a faulty heater, it has 2. 2. Do not put the cap back on the cartridge until you are sure it’s done leaking.
