This is one of those things that I take because of the possible health benefits, however, because I am a healthy, young adult, I do not see anything palpable taking place as a result of me taking these. Having said that, I also haven't been sick in a long while and have been able to maintain a relatively healthy weight and even lose some pounds while taking these pills. It's tough for me to credit these favorable situations strictly to the ALA, but if it is because of my daily dosage, then I guess I'm all the better for it.I knocked off the one star because the only downside to taking these pills for me is the fact that they makes my pee smell terrible. At first I thought it was because I was also taking fish oil, but I found out it's definitely these.

Doctor recommended taking this not necessarily this brand but I like that is pure and a family operation. It works great for me

I started experiencing a horrific burning pain in both of my feet, which I ignored for a couple of months until I couldn’t take it anymore. My doctor prescribed gabapentin, but reading about the possible side effects (anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) freaked me out. I started Googling any other more natural remedy and found ALA. I found out this summer that I’m pre-diabetic, so I was really worried that it was related to that.I swear to you, after the first dosage I felt instantly better (I started out taking two of them at a time, I was in that much pain). Now I’m down to one pill. If I feel so good that I skip a day or two, I feel it coming back. I had a nerve test this week and it appears that the cause is related to my back (sitting all day at a non ergonomic desk at home for months, since the pandemic, had made things worse).Definitely a con is that it makes your pee smell HORRIBLE, and I do notice a lot more of, um, “intestinal discomfort” (the D word). But I decided I could live with that, rather than the outrageous pain in my feet and legs. If you’re on the fence, just try ALA! It works!

I have type 2 diabetes and started feeling numbness in my right foot and right fingers. I read about it and found out it was neural damage caused by diabetes and this supplement was recommended in the writeup. I took it as soon as I received it with a 125mcg vitamin D3 supplement from Naturewise and I woke up feeling no numbness at the mentioned areas of my body. I'm so glad about my purchase.

I am using them, but can't really tell you if they are working or not yet. No complaints.
