I passed my CCM using this book. It is easy to understand and use your critical thinking preparing you for your exam. The information is up to date. I have recommended this to fellow cohorts who are prepping to take their exam.

Of all of the CCM Certification study guides on the market, this is one of the best. The font is large. The content is well structured, and it breaks down each topic as simply as possible making it easy to comprehend. After attempting other guides, I used this study guide for the April 2023 exam and passed the first time. My only criticism is that the index in the back of the book seems incomplete and stops at the letter "P."As with any exam, one has to be realistic with expectations. If there is a section which a CM does not have much work experience, it may be best to reference other materials to gain a better understanding. As a social worker with no experience in Quality Outcomes, I'd no expectation that this study guide would magically help me understand so I did a little extra research i.e. videos and google of keywords within that section. Remember, the exam isn't going to duplicate questions directly from any practice exams. Using this book as a foundation then utilizing sound test taking strategies is the key to succes i.e. looking for key words, flagging questions for follow up, etc. Good luck!

I purchased this book in order to get my CCM. I studied and listened to Deanna’s recommendations. I really liked how the book was laid out and the breakdown of chapters was so helpful. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wishes to pursue their certification.

I used this book for CCM exam April 8, 2023. I passed the exam because of this book. I also used the ccmc quiz app and glossary app as well as another book. But the info in this book was superior. It represented the exam very well. I could have passed just using this book, the apps mentioned above and practice exam from the company.Test takers should read every page and answer the questions and read the rationale behind every question.The end of the book has a 150 question practice test. It will help if you can sit through all 150 questions at once. The actual exam has 180 questions. Repeating the practice test a few times and repeating the other questions through the book helped too.Physically the book is big and bulky as expected. The print is large and bold so its easy to see. The individual pages do not have large quantities of material because the font is so large so a reader will get through pages quickly. The book lasted long enough for me to use and is still in good enough condition to pass along to someone else. Highly recommend.
