WixFilters - 24763 Heavy Duty Filter Mounting Base, Pack of 1

I installed this for a coolant filter for my heater. It fits the WIX24070 filter. It gives you multiple ways to attach your hoses by having two inlet/outlets. This should cover the bases when doing a custom install. The pictures show it painted black as I installed in my vintage ‘53 Chevy 3600 truck. I would recommend and would buy again. As far as an easy install, it’s custom work, it’s as easy as you make it.

This thing is pretty solid and well-made. I've ran them on several vehicles, including customer's Jeeps. A must-have for older blocks.

My Jeep XJ is flaking off small rust chips and after dozens and dozens of flushes they keep coming back and eventually clog the radiator. I'm sick of flushing and overheating so I got this. I installed this along with the 24070 Heavy Duty Coolant Spin-On Filter. I replaced the radiator just to be safe. My coolant temps are lower with temps once again stable in mixed conditions.

This filter base is a little 'rough around the edges' in the sense that the fit & finish is a little bit lacking. I had to deburr some of the edges and holes myself. With that said, it it the only product like it I could find on the market after some more finishing it got the job done and worked beautifully.

This base is well built very thick material and has a solid mounting plate.it is very convenient that it come with two input and two output ports it made routing the hoses much easier.Very happy with the purchase would highly recommend for solving coolant filtering problems

Had muddy coolant after a few months of flushing system. And my heater core leaked, so I bypassed the heater core and will clean my cooling system with this before replacing heater core. I ziptied this on my 1997 Lincoln Town Car. Very easy install. I also added a (2) 3/4" hose barb x 1/2" thread x 2" long heater hose fitting, which I special ordered at AutoZone Part # 500-002.1 Then I just hooked up 3/4" hose and it was good to go. No leaks. Made in the USA, so I'm confident it'll last a long time. The plugs for the mount use a 3/8" hex socket or Allen wrench and I used permatex thread sealant on all the threads. Don't forget to get that.Update 10/03/21Replaced filter after first 1,000 miles. Captured a lot of metal particles and trapped in bad/muddy coolant. Highly recommended if you have an older car.

I haven't had a chance to install this to see how it does. It comes with the necessary block off plugs for a setting where you want it.

I like the finish but I don’t like the chinsy thread insert for the filter

I put this before my heater core on my jeep 4.0 cherokee. Easy to get set up with fittings from the hardware store. Best of all the filter housing bolted right onto a stud on my valve cover. Recommend doing this mod and il likely do my wrangler next. Likely applicable to any vehicle
