The lock is very substantial, and will suit my needs for my swing out garage doors.Both of the keys arrived bent, one of which is just unusable for me unfortunately so I’ll have to have another one cut.That’s the only reason I’m docking points.

The lock is a beast and doesn't seem any different than the name brand puck locks...

umm i needed a simple door lock and this is more of an industrial kind of lock. it’s way too big and way too heavy for a regular bedroom door!! it’s perfect for like a more heavy duty type of thing. also, the keys wouldn’t work for some reason!! maybe i put it in wrong? i found what i needed in another lock. it might be great for some labourers, but not me!

so the lock is sturdy and the latch plates are strong too . I have a problem with the key tumbler. It's a pretty basic lock mechanism and is easy to pick . I had the key cut and it is a common key blank . easy to cut . the problem is it is a chinese knock off and the key tumbler is thinner than normal for this particular key blank . I had to use a disc grinder to thin the cut keys down to fit the tumbler . after that the keys work fine.
