great cameras
This is my second petcube camera and i really enjoy both of them. i’ve got a 16 year old disabled senior so being able to keep eyes on him is extremely important to me pros: shipping was quick and set up was very simple. the video is much clearer on this camera than my other petcube. night vision works very well, I use this feature frequently in a dark room and have never had an issue seeing my pup. while zooming in the video quality stays good. i can see the entire room with the ability to move the camera up/down/left/right. one of my favorite new features is the privacy mode so i don’t have to plug and unplug it all the time. one of the deciding factors for me was the free app, it gives me the features i need (live stream was the most important to me) without additional costs. i feel the pricing is really fair. i really love that i can share the camera with family and they can log in and check on my pup, also for free. cons: the audio on the speaker when speaking to my pet isn’t as loud as my previous petcube camera (the petcube cam). the app could use some improvement with connectivity. sometimes my live stream will randomly go “offline” and take a few minutes to reconnect. and sometimes when i open up the app i can’t get the livestream to load at all, it’ll say “connecting” and never connect and the in app support chat freezes. i have to reboot the whole app to get it to work and then it works great. this only happens sometimes, most of the time the app works great. overall i really enjoy my petcube cameras. i love knowing i can keep eyes on him at all times easily on my phone. 5 stars from me!

Great camera!
I’ve had this camera for about 2 years, and I love it! Petcube is an amazing company! It’s so easy to use and has great video quality. I love how at night, it’s able to shift to night mode and you can see everything very clearly. I love that it is a full 360° view and can even move up & down!

Good product but it didn't serve my needs :(
*4.5/5 stars- I was contacted by the company and asked to update my review. I will update it because they did work with me, but I want to be fair to the consumers. I returned it because it wasn't what I was looking for. That is not the fault of the product, I was not aware of how the product works. I need a home surveillance system and will set one up in my home, including the area where my cats roam. I did find it difficult to remove my payment method. I signed up for a subscription because I thought I would keep the product and I found it difficult to remove my payment info from the app. I was able to cancel my subscription but couldn't remove my card info because it's one of those where you have to have one form of payment on file before removing another one. I contacted the company and they removed my payment info AND refunded me my subscription fee. I was very happy for that but removing your financials should be easier than it was. ** It's a great product but it's not for me. The night vision is surprisingly good. The video quality is good, too. I have the trial subscription and didn't use it much since I quickly figured out that I didn't want to keep it. So, I can't comment as to the cloud compatibility. Pet cube is not a surveillance system. I like the concept and what Pet Cube can provide but it doesn't work for me. It is not what i thought it would be. I should've read more reviews or asked questions. No fault on the product, tho. Set-up was a tiny bit of a hassle. There is QR that has to be read by your phone and I don't know if it was my phone or the code but it took a long time to read it. Maybe the firmware was also updating during that time and i didn't know it. Wi-fi connection was fairly easy, too. I have 3 cats and one of them is pooping right beside the litter box instead of inside it. I don't know which one is doing it or why it's doing it. Is it due to bullying, is the cat physically not able to jump in the box? Is the cat just being a turd?? I don't know. The litter can be freshly changed and as soon as I turn my back it still happens. Whichever cat is doing it is definitely a ninja pooper. I got the cameras hoping that i could go back through the video timeline and find the point when the load is dropped and then rewind to see who has the stealthy sphincter and to see what else is happening in the moment besides the pooping. Is another cat hogging the loo, etc.? The cameras alert as to motion and i see one cat come around and then sniff at the floor, then another cat comes in to see what the sniffing is about. Since the cameras only record short snippets of video and then stop, it remains a mystery. The video snippet stops before any action happens. But the next video snippet shows the turd in the floor and the cats on the other side of the room as if nothing happened. I still don't know who is doing the dirty deed and since they are not likely to fess up or snitch, I'll never know unless i have some kind of continuous surveillance video. But i do know that i am returning the cameras and getting an actual home surveillance system, like Nest, etc. I think it will work better for what I need. I'm tired of cleaning up after these little turds plus, I can have peace of mind knowing that I can check my home throughout for signs of intruders.

Perfect Basic Pet Camera!
Little camera that has worked well for me. I got one over a year ago, and I've added another one now. The setup can't be easier, and I love the ease of the app. It is straight forward and simple. It has been a great camera overall for the cost. The sound detection and motion detection work well, but can take a bit of trail and error to get the sensitivity to your needs. You can also adjust the notifications you get from it as well. The picture quality is great for the price you pay. I can't review the additional features that you pay extra for as I have a tight budget, but even without those features its been the perfect pet cam for my little furry babies.

Impressive service
We bought 4 pet cube cameras back in August 2025. They have been working much better than the previous brand we had. One of them stopped working recently and I contacted customer service via email as that was the only way to do so other than chatting with AI. I really did not expect a response, especially since it was a Sunday. But I did get a response via email within an hour. They recommended that I try a couple things at home to see if the camera could be reset. Once I explained to them that I had tried what they recommended and it still was not working they stated that they would ship a replacement. To my surprise the replacement arrived within 24 hrs. I am very impressed and would recommend if you are looking for a decent camera with decent customer service

Excellent product
I’m submitting an update to this review. I recently moved and my pet cubes were in storage. I pay for the monitoring plan for one of them but not the other. When I unpacked, I only found the one without the plan. I had forgotten which camera had it and which did not. I reached out to customer service to ask if the plan was connected to a WiFi or ip address or what (I don’t know how those things work). They were very responsive and, long story short, transferred the plan to the cube (I haven’t found the other one yet) and gave me a credit for the four months I hadn’t used the cube - they offered this. I did not in any way prompt or ask for a refund they just let me know about it. That is some awesome customer service! Everything was seamless. I loved the product before but now I am definitely purchasing more cubes for other rooms and signing up for the monitoring plan for all of them. I have a lot of respect for a company that goes above and beyond for a customer! This Petcube has exceeding my expectations! I cannot express how happy I am with this purchase! It is easy to set up, easy to use, and has been working exactly as expected. The pic is with night vision. The video quality is excellent and it auto records when it detects movement. The sound quality is excellent. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants to keep an eye on their pet.

Works great…maybe… if you can hear!
Title says it. When I started setting up the first time, it took an hour and a half to figure out, even when I followed the manual. But it requires listening for the prompts saying, “Ready for setup” and “QR scanned,” or whatever else is coming up. It worked the first and second times, but I was painfully frustrated having to try figure whether it voiced out the prompts even though I’m Deaf in both ears. I emailed their customer representative about my disability to see whether the cam lights could have any meaning to help me set up… they responded to try using a laptop to scan the QR code. It didn’t help at all. It was a guess all the way. Furbo has cams showing visual cues to help me set up better, thank goodness, and it only took a few minutes. But when I had the PetCube cam to finally work, the pictures were very clear, in the dark and with light. No subscription was needed, which was one of the other reasons for my being their customer in the first place. Now, using Furbo, I didn’t care about paying for subscription anymore because I needed visual access to the set up features. I’m sorry, PetCube, please try to be accessible for all. Even we Deaf people have pets.

Great Price for an Impressive Camera
After seeing my frustrations with my previous review, Petcube reached out to me and I decided to give it another try. I was hoping this meant they updated the older app on my Nexus 7 but whenever I checked it still hasn't. Despite that, I am happy to say that I have successfully connected the device using the app on my phone. It took a little thinking but here's how I did it: - Opened the app and selected "Add camera" - Selected Petcube Cam - Followed the instructions by plugging it in and pressing the button on the bottom until the unit says "Ready for setup" - Here's the tricky part. I went as far away from the Petcube Cam as I could and still have WiFi connected (around 80 feet in my backyard) - Opened the WiFi network settings on my phone and forgot it - Re-added the network. Since I was so far away it dropped me from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz - It then asked me to scan a QR code on my phone with the Petcube Cam so I went back inside - Once I scanned the QR code the device was ready to go within 30 seconds! I've had it up for a few hours and I'm happy with the device now. It's compact, lightweight and way easier to get the angle you want with the adjustable stand. It comes with a magnetic base and a metal ring that you can screw into the wall. It also comes with double sided 3M tape if you don't want to put a hole in the wall. The video, sound and night vision all work really well. I don't really miss the laser pointer, it never worked well for me with my other units so I was always turning it off. The field of view isn't as wide as my other Petcube cameras but the features you do get for the price make this is an amazing deal and I would buy another one. One of the biggest complaints I have is that this camera seems to guide you towards the subscription service. Unlike the previous Petcube cameras, you can't save the videos directly to your device without a subscription. You have to hit the share button and then save it to something like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc or email it to yourself. Not a deal-breaker but a tedious task to get your clips saved. ---Previous Review--- I really wanted to like it. I have 2 other Petcube cameras and was excited when I was emailed about the new device. The compact size, magnet and adjustable stand were the things that convinced me to hit the purchase button. I did see in the description that the device only connects to 2.4ghz and not 5ghz wifi. I have other smart plugs that that are the same, but I just use my old Nexus 7 and connect them with no problems. Once the package arrived the frustration began. The Petcube app is no longer supports the Nexus 7 and there's no way to update so I couldn't setup the cam. I searched around the house and found a 4 year old Kindle Fire and the Petcube app there hasn't been updated since 2014. Rather than go through any more frustration, I sent it back for a refund. Here's my advice before you purchase: Download and open the Petcube app on the device you plan to setup this camera on 2.4ghz network. Click the "Add camera" button. If you see the Petcube Cam in the devices list, then you should be safe to purchase without the frustration. If the device is not listed, don't order unless you need a paperweight.
