Pardarsey Universal 12.7mm caddy review.
When the Caddy first arrived I wasn't too impressed with the quality or build, but once I tried it out and swapped the bezel over with the one from my optical drive, it worked well, so far so good.

Not compatible with HP 15-e072sa
Not compatible with HP 15-e072sa. Not marking it down cos it wouldn't be right. Laptop is narrower and thinner at corner edge than the caddy. Not the caddy for this model.

Very easy to install without any knowledge or experience
The only thing you need to consider before bying a caddy is your laptop bay thickness ! Many are complaining that this adapter don't fit in their bay but they forgot to mention that they bought a 12.7mm caddy instead of 9.5mm. The transfer speeds are not to discuss here because there are more then two factors involved in the best speed for your drive. In my case I copied a large file in excess of 8GB to the 1TB HDD in the caddy with 85MB/s, a resonable speed for an old HDD (2014). I am satisfied by my purchase and I recommend it.

Excellent Caddy
Fast delivery and used to add an SSD to a 2009 iMac. Works very well with stable speeds. Recommended.

Wanted to use it as primary HDD but issue with installing OS
Very easy to install but cannot use it as primary HDD. It might be good if there was driver that allowed installing windows and use it as primary. If you need it as extra storage it is great

Didn't fit my DELL Latitude E6540
Product looks ok and I'm sure works fine but doesn't fit in the slot for my DELL machine! I decided to pull it apart and use the tiny screw parts for something else I needed to fix. Still give a 4 star to be fair since it was a fast delivery.

Gekauft um eine ssd Festplatte in den CD Schacht einzubauen. Umbau geht in Minuten und endlich kann schnell zwischen den Platten und Betriebssystemen geswitcht werden

Converts your useless cd/dvd writer to a hdd memory slot.. worked perfect on my old sony vaio

The metal was really thin, and easy to dent without careful handling, but it installs easily, and you cannot tell that it is installed, unless you try to put a disk in the CD caddy!
