Powerful and reliable
This thing is a lifesaver. It started my car instantly with no hesitation, even with a pretty low battery. Feels very solid and well made, not cheap at all. It’s compact enough to keep in the trunk and the clamps are strong and easy to use. Definitely gives peace of mind knowing it’s there when you need it. Highly recommend.

Best starter I've ever owned, by far
Truly outstanding - I've owned a couple of prior starters, but bought this to replace one that struggled with my elderly Mercedes station wagon. This Noco starter is a joy - it'll turn the engine over and start it instantly, with no hesitation, and based on the battery charge indicator, it could do it a dozen times over. It's very easy to hook up, and the operation is foolproof - much simpler than on older models. While it's not light, it's pretty compact, and very well made. I did buy an aftermarket case for it, so that it can go with us on longer trips in less-reliable vehicles.

I absolutely love this
I've been a pro auto tech for long enough now that all the normal tools have been bought and paid for. You start looking for other things that you never really wanted to spend the money on, but always irritate you when the shop you're at doesn't have one, or the one they have sucks. I bought this because the place I was at, for a short time, reconditions and resells used cars. At any point in time we would have anywhere from 2500-5000 cars at the facility. It's a huge place, and a lot of dead batteries. On a daily basis I would need to jump start 4-10 cars. Cars ranging from tiny electric cars to diesel trucks. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of cars I've needed to jump, only one of them would the Genius not jump. And this was only due to an extreme discharge (1v), and no direct access to the battery terminals. Only tiny remote jump posts were accessible. The description claims that this will jump up to 20 cars on a single charge. I can vouch that this is an under estimate. I could use this all week, jumping 30 or more cars, before charging. I only plug it in when it reaches 25% according the to the LED indicators. On a very regular basis I would need to jump electric cars. Electric cars have a regular 12V battery for starting, and the motors run off a special battery. More often than not, the 12V battery, and the motor battery would be dead. So I would use the NOCO to start the car, then leave it connected in order to drive it to the shop (up to 1/3 mile from where cars parked). This little jump box will run an entire electric car with AC on full blast for several minutes and barely deplete its charge. However doing this multiple times throughout the day will deplete it more quickly. But if all you need to do is jump start, the charge lasts forever. Obviously you can use it in a similar way on a gasoline engine to run the car, when the alternator is bad. Only a few, very minor, points to mention. The cables are a little shorter than I'd like. This makes it more compact, but sometimes finnicky to get connected to a battery. The location, and ease of activation, of the light button make it entirely too easy to turn the light on. I found many times, I accidentally turned the light on without realizing it, and it stayed on for who knows how long until I noticed. Also it's a bit heavy to carry around. And this I only say because I had to carry it around in a backpack with other tools, and things I needed to do my job. For the normal person, the weight isn't an issue. It is by far smaller, and lighter, than the traditional jump box. And lastly, it takes a long time to fully charge. The better part of the day, if mostly depleted. So that's it. Those minor points are so minor, in no way should they deter you from buying this. I absolutely love this thing, and only hate that I waited so long to buy it. Update: Been using this now for almost 2 years. Still going strong. Working in a normal shop now, so not jump starting batteries every day. The charge still lasts forever. Also use to bench test starters. I now charge it probably once a month. It never goes dead, but if I see the charge is depleted when I use it, I will throw it on the charger. Still the best jump box I've ever used. Update: I bought this in March 2017. I'm now buying a second one. I want one for home now, so I'm getting the new one for work, and taking the old one home. I'll still love this jump box. Still working on cars, still jump starting cars on the daily. Now that this box is nearing 5 years old, the battery does need charged more often. Think of your old smart phone. But it's still kicking strong. The cables are still annoyingly short. I charge this every few weeks, and use it pretty much daily. The rest of my previous review still stands strong. The only difference now, is I have to charge it more often because the battery is so old. But still perfect for home use, and now I'll have a fresh new one for work.

Very convenient
Bought the GB70 over the GB40 because bigger is better? It was $100 more expensive and for the average/casual user it’s probably not worth it. Had a dead battery on our 2014 Lexus IS 250, which we haven’t been driving lately. Had to use the override feature on the NOCO, because the battery was really dead, but it started right up. Would definitely recommend. Much more convenient than using jumper cables and a donor vehicle. Be prepared for the car alarm/horn to go off when using the override feature!! The instruction manual that comes with it is pretty much useless; it’s in micro print. Seriously, you’ll need a magnifying glass to read the thing. I ended up finding the manual online and printing out the 3 pages I needed for future reference. As a quick start guide I found some things on YouTube. To charge the GB70, a short USB C cord is provided, but you need to provide your own charging block/wall plug for the cord. It also comes with a cord and adapter so you can charge it, or keep it charged, in your car. It has a built in flashlight with several brightness settings and a USB A “Out” port so you can use it to charge various devices (you’ll need to provide the USB A cord, however). I really like this product. Just need to keep it charged because when you need it, you need it. I’ll also be bringing it along on all future road trips.

The best jump starter AND 12V DC power source I can find is NOCO GB70!
I received this item as a birthday present and as a congratulations gift for my shiny new Jeep Wrangler. It saved me from very expensive dealer repairs and towing expenses. Far more than the cost of this excellent product. Worth every penny and far superior to the Chinese no name jump starters sold in stores under many names. The crude copy cat designs frequently don't have enough current to do the job, and don't have the safety shutoff override button or the 12VDC output port. Vastly inferior products are everywhere, and they often lead to stranded vehicles. I purchased a fully equipped JL Rubicon four door model that was traded in at the end of a lease, thinking that I would get a reliable vehicle without the problems of the older JK version of the Wrangler. Initially there were improvements everywhere, but within a month the dual 12V battery problems left both batteries completely dead. I learned that for all Chrysler vehicles with Auto Stop Start and dual 12 V batteries, this failure mode happens to 100% of the vehicles that reach two or three years of age. That is, EVERY ONE of these vehicles will end up bricked- dead - on a morning when you need to go somewhere. This NOCO GB70 made the starter motor spin faster than I have ever heard as soon as I pushed the START button. The engine started immediately. During the days needed between the battery failure and the day I could go to an auto parts store to buy the larger Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) type of battery that the Rubicon requires, I used the NOCO GB 70 to start the engine every morning even though the original battery was so dead that most jump starter devices will refuse to activate their outputs. If I had one of those, it would have failed to start the engine. I am highly impressed with the accessories. The ability to fast charge from a 14Volt DC power outlet (in the old days, for cigarette lighters) while in a vehicle is a great feature. The USB input and output is great. Best of all, the cable and connector setup allows the device to be used as a stand alone 12VDC power source for any equipment that can connect to the standard automotive 12 VDC power outlet in a dashboard. Much smaller and lighter than trying to do this with a lead acid battery. This is one of the best automotive self rescue devices ever made. Buy one for yourself and everyone in your family that owns a car. Keep them charged and never worry about starting problems.

It is a great jump starter … but a small problem … more of a disappointment than a problem.
I have had this jump starter for over three years now. I have found the following from experience: It stays charged for almost two years without having to plug it in. Above and beyond expectations. It starts the car several times without having to plug it in. Above and beyond expctations. It is a great jump starter, however, the reason for the 4 stars instead of five is, I finally hade to charge another device and the multiple device charging cord does not work. I tried to charge my ipad and it would not charge with the included cord but charges fine with my cord.

Works as advertised and easy to use.
My vehicle is a six cylindar, 3.5L engine. The battery was completely dead. Not even a click when turning the starter key. I hooked up the GB 70 to the battery, turned it on and had to press the bypass button as the battery was totally dead. I got in my vehicle and turned the key. Instantly the vehicle started. By the way, the GB 70 was only 3/4 charged coming out of the box. Not a problem. Also, watching the videos was very helpful. After wards, I charged the GB 70 completely, hope I don't have to use it again and hope it works as well just in case there is a need for it.

Wouldn’t go anywhere without one.
Cannot beat Novo jump boxes. This is my second to have in vehicles around the farm. This will jump most of the equipment on my farm. I have the Big 4000+ amp jump box for my larger equipment (10-12 liter diesel engines). This 2000A GB70 is a smaller form factor and is great to keep under the backseat of my pickup or trunk of my car. I wouldn’t go anywhere without one. With the NOCO jump boxes you can wave goodbye to having what always seems to turn into a tangle of jumper cables in your trunk or bed of the pickup. The NOCO jump boxes are easy to use, they have polarity protection, they charge very quickly from USB-C, from a 12 volt power outlet in you vehicle, or you can purchase a quick charge wall adapter from here on Amazon. On top of everything else you can charge your usb devices for this unit making it very versatile. These Noco units seem very well built, the first one I purchased a few min ago has lived in toolboxes, bounced around in truck cabs, been dropped in the field, and it still functions great.
