All us 'big-heads' have lived too long with the shame of "one-size-fits-all" making us look like freaks! No more will 'Big Hat' sell the lie that one size fits all - no more I say! While still feeling a little bit of head-shaming in the 'Oversized' label (I mean how about calling all the other hats 'puny-little-head-sized'?), at least this hat fit well on my enormous melon, stays on my head in the wind, shades my face and neck and furthermore, for a decidedly uncool person, it kind of added one or two cool points - that's right, I got compliments! (instead of people just looking away and small children crying).

I was excited to get this "XXL-XXXL" sized hat, since nothing on typical store shelves fits my size 8 (63 cm) head. I was hoping it was a little bigger so I could wear a bandanna under it for sweat, but it feels like a true size 8 with no extra room. If your head is bigger than that, it will be too tight. Variations could occur in sewing, so maybe that's just mine, but it's barely big enough and it is not stretchy, and it's cotton, so I fear it will shrink. I'd give 5 stars if it had a little more room to allow for shrinkage, and I think this is fair because the ad says this fits up to a 64 cm. The construction seems fine and the material is a decent medium weight. It is deep and the brim touches my ears, which I consider good. Also, the color is a good authentic olive drab like old army clothes, not an annoying green.

I ordered an XL but got the next size up. The hat itself is nice.

My husband has a big, bald head and has trouble finding hats to fit comfortably. These are perfect... He loves them and we don't have to worry about his head getting sunburned! Great find!

I bought this hat mostly for head protection while playing golf in the Southern U.S. I have a relatively large head (I believe that fitted caps 7 1/2 would be my size) and most bucket hats fit a little too tight on my head, so I was looking forward to getting this bigger-sized bucket hat.The hat does fit, but as other reviewers have said, it's almost too big. It fits loosely on my head and appears a little bulky while wearing it. To me, this is ok, and it has even tightened up a bit after I have worn it, sweat in it, etc.I like the fact that the brim is not too wide, and not too short. It's just as I wanted. I also generally like the look/pattern of the hat itself. However, I have noticed that my head gets pretty hot while wearing this during hot days. In other words, it doesn't breath very well, and the material isn't necessarily "soft" or moisture-wicking.Overall, I don't love this hat, and it's not the most stylish thing due to its bulk, but it works well enough and keeps my head and face protected.
