Great replacement for Sennheiser Headphones
My old Sennheiser 280 Pro Headphones pads were definitely getting old and shabby. I was glad to find exact replacement pads. The pads (3) came in a little plastic bag - no instructions. A little tricky at first to installment. I found it easier to start re-inserting the ring from the side and stretch around both directions. It took a little work but is doable. Same with the head band - start from the middle and slowly stretch to the ends. They fit and sound great, my phones seem new again.

Less comfortable than originals.
Fit is perfect and easy to install on HD 280 PRO's. However, the original ear cups and head band were higher quality, more plush, and comfortable. Other wise I would give them 5/5. Original cups lasted over 4 years of everyday use, only time will tell if these are as durable.

Neat find, works well
Excellent product that fits well and functions as intended. It's a bit of a finicky install, but be patient and take your time.

Replacements that extend the life of a fantastic product
I've had my Sennheiser HD280 headphones for ten years now. Just in the last week or two, one of the earcups ripped on the inner lining. It was an unfortunate occurrence but understandable with headphones purchased in 2010. I love the HD280s, though, and I did not want to replace them if the earcups could be replaced. My main concern, though, was how frustrating the process would be of replacing the earcups on the headset. The majority of the negative reviews on this product highlight an excruciating ordeal of getting these new earcups to fit properly. I'd like to address the criticism in my review: Yes, the earcups have a tight lining that will make it less than ideal for replacement, but it's not a horrible experience. It's a five- to ten-minute process that is made easier with certain tools and techniques. I used a thin, blunted tool on a Swiss Army knife to gently push the lining into the crevice as I worked the material around the oval ear backing. You may also want to stretch the material before starting, gently plying it with your fingers to help widen its reach. The more you stretch the earcup around the oval ring, the further you will get the material with each try. I only had to replace one earcup, and it took between 5 and 8 minutes. You can get both of them done in 15 minutes. And the result is an extension of life for a fantastic headset. I'll hopefully have these another ten years. $30 is worth the price, and the replacement process is not an arduous or Sisyphean task like so many reviewers seem to suggest. If you want to keep your headphones but need new earcups, this is a great solution to that problem.

If you have the tools, you can make your HD280's brand new again.
These headphones have been through some things okay. I refuse to throw out a good pair of the OG HD280's, so I had to upgrade its ear pieces/head cushion... it was TIME as you can see in the pictures. I timed myself, it took me about 9 minutes to do. Simple things you will need. Go into your tool box, grab yourself a pick and hook set, some neutral cleaner and a microfiber...have some good lighting. the top part (there the headphones sit on your head, you'll see this clip/sliding thing going all the way across it. Put the little pick/hook in between the connected piece....gently pry up. once it lifts, don't let it fall....pull it apart. Remember how it was installed so you can reverse. Now the ear muffs....pick them out from the back. there's a SLOT where the leather/pleather backing of these slides in when you go to put the new ones back in. CLEAN YOUR HEADPHONES, I was surprised how much dirt was in that little space. Now, fold in ONE of your headphones so it doesn't go flopping when installing the ear muff on the other one. USE PATIENCE and if you feel it beginning to want to tear, stop and start again. use the hook or mini flat screwdriver (not the pointy side the flat side) to GENTLY push in the new leather part. take your time, stretch it a little...once it starts stretching, get the leather in the slot. use your other hand to keep what you've finished in tact cause it WILL start to want to go back out and apart. You'll get the hang of it. Once it's all in just doublecheck and give your earmuff a baby tug to see if it comes out. If it doesn't, cool. the top head cushion CAN SLIDE so don't feel stuck if it is misaligned. there's two lines on it (next to the Sennheiser and next to the "don't recycle" icon) that looks like the markings of it's location. You got this ya'll, these are awesome. I'm glad I found these. If anything changes, I will update with a new review. As of today, we are good :)

Work But a Pain to Install
I wanted to buy original Sennheiser pads figuring they would be a perfect fit. Before you start go to YouTube and watch the official instruction video. The video gave me an understanding of what needed to be done but these are still a royal pain in the a#* to install. I got them on but boy I hope I never have to do this again. While putting the pads on my finger poked through the covering on the inside headpiece itself. Not sure if this will be an issue in the headphone performance or not. ( picture is attached) I am really disappointed in the fit of the head band. The new headband is different from the original and I like the original better. The new pad is longer than the old one and does not lay perfectly flat between of the raised portion of the headpiece. The old one fit in between this portion but the new one lays over these and will not lay flat. After finally getting it installed it has a sharp edge that will not lay flat because of the headpiece raised portion. Overall I am really disappointed in these. Original OEM pads should fit like the originals.

I removed one star because it's super annoying to put them on - you need a lot of patience. But otherwise good quality and look and feel like the originals. The sound is good too. It's possible to use these earpads with the older version of HD 280 Pro. They are tight but they fit and look perfect once you manage to put them on. The headband is almost impossible to put on (too narrow for the old version), but with lots of effort, it can be done. Once the two rows are zipped together, they hold. However the faux leather is so stretched around the headband, I think it won't last long.

As soon as I put these on my 280 Pros it was like I had bought a new pair. I couldn't recommend them more. I just wish Sennheiser made a real leather version, but then again, these are budget closed back headpones.

These were tricky to install (VERY tight), but perfect once properly on. I guess that should give me some assurance they won't fall off ;P Would purchase again.

Pour les deux cousinets ok je suis satisfait, Pour l' enveloppe de soutien trop petit et mal concue.. Trop cher payer pour se produit et frais de transport exorbitant.
