It prevents water intrusion for me.
Good quality for my needs. Definitely suitable for more than just a drop cloth.

Imperfect but still a good value
I purchased this because of its good size-to-cost ratio. It's really quite spacious for the money. In truth, I'm using this as a tarp to cover some palleted boxes in the garage, rather than as a painter's drop cloth. As a tarp, it's a little flimsy and tears more easily than I would have thought. (It's similar to a thin cling-film sandwich wrap.) However, as a drop-cloth, I can certainly see how good a purchase this could have been--and still can be, if I decided to appropriate it for a painting project. Okay, maybe it's not a perfect product, but it' still been a very good purchase.

Good quality
This is a great deal. Thick enough to slide under a heavy dining room table by myself without ripping it almost at all (I'm a woman) and lasted thru the sanding, staining, sanding again and painting

Not “Super Tough”
This dropcloth might work ok if you never put anything on top of it, like if you were just standing on it to paint a room. Very hard to secure as it’s so light and flimsy and the slightest pull or breeze will move the whole thing. I was painting chairs and a table on top of it and it ripped every time I put something down or moved something.

Know What Your Using it For Before Chosing Thickness
The 4 mil thickness of this plastic drop is great for painting something outdoors to protect surfaces from spills. I used this to lay on the grass to paint and reseal my teak patio furniture. No slip. No leakage. Thick enough for more than one use if there is not a lot of paint drips. If you want to cover furniture, a thinner plastic is good. For less leakage and less slip a good protection, pay a bit more and get at least 4 mi.

bought this for a big paint job, 2 packs almost $16 would have been better going to dollar store these were so thin I had to put both together and still were useless, would have given zero stars if allowed.

Most definitely NOT super tough! There’s a lot of it, but it’s very lightweight and delicate. I’ve had to patch all the rips and holes with masking tape so I don’t get paint on the floor.
