I managed to bruise my rib, something I do not recommend for anyone due to the excruciating pain, but if you do, I highly recommend this brace, especially if you bruised an upper rib. I tried to wrap it up with all different sizes of elastic bandages, but I felt no real relief. Once I received this and put it on, I actually felt instant relief! It was actually comfortable and I was able to breathe without pain! For the women: I am not small breasted. I'm a 38D. I got the one with 3 straps and they are very adjustable so I was able to get a good fit without crushing myself. The lower strap provided support, kept the brace from slipping, and the added benefit of not having to wear a bra! LOL! My actual healing time was a lot shorter than I thought it would be as well. I hope you never need this for a bruised rib, but if you do, I highly recommend it!

This really works. I broke ribs in my upper chest and this is the only brace I could find that offers support to a break so high up. It provides immediate relief and the longer I wear it, the better I feel. Well made. So happy with this purchase

Fits well and does the job. Likes: 1. The main brace itself seems to be constructed pretty well. 2. Plenty adjustable with good support. Dislikes: 1. The material has a rubbery smell. 2. The shoulder strap came unstitched where the elastic meets the Velcro pad the first time I wore it.

After rolling my car 3 times and fracturing 9 ribs, I was desperate for some relief and stability. This brace is comfortable, easy to use, my ribs felt supported, and my ta-tas weren’t smooshed like they were with the hospital binder. The Velcro is great quality and made it easy to adjust from sitting to standing and it stayed in place. I have told all (of my many) doctors and physical therapist about this brace.

Worked better than just the wraps..

I ended up returning it because it didn't suit my mom's injuries. The pressure hurt more than helped, so she couldn't wear it. It did appear to be sturdy and well-designed. It'll likely be handy if you separate or dislocate a rib. It'll be a good stabilizer to keep your torso upright. The shoulder strap can be repositioned (velcro ends that stick to the body portion) and would help keep the brace from moving down or shifting around the body.

I thought it was going to work really well as I needed a rib support up high under my armpit. It was staying high and was very supportive. Then I started feeling something poking me at my waist and ended up discovering that the rib under the other arm had made a hole in the brace material and was sticking out and sticking me. Returned it.

Had open heart surgery needed a secure brace. Found it comfortable and easy to put on. Did feel very vunerable without one and this secured it. Great.
