I've been running 20+ miles a week for 40 years now. About a year back, I discovered lock laces -- and have tried 4-5 kinds now. Since I wear athletic shoes almost exclusively, and I own quite a few pair, I've switched all my shoes to lock laces.These, sold by Bodi Hut, are by far the best on the market -- and, sweetly, at about the best price point at between $2.50 and $3.00 per set.Why?1. The laces, themselves, are substantial -- almost twice the thickness of the worst brand -- and will last a long, long time, and take a ton of punishment;2. Important for runners (and those who wear athletic shoes), the aglets on the tips of the lacesare hard and long enough to thread tight lace holes easily -- took me a third the time to thread these vs the worst laces out there (hint: those come in a cheap, $6-7 three-pack -- and are virtually worthless. Be forewarned.)3. The locks are perfect -- easy to thread, tight holding, and with a cute 'Masai' stickman design;4. The end clips are simple, but effective, bell cups -- the easiest to use, and completely modifable (depending on how you cut them -- tho they can always be shortened;5. The packaging is superb, and allows easy storage for those laces to be used in the future -- a nice touch; and6. The service is terrific. They made a mistake on my order -- I got all white instead of the mixed black and white ordered -- and Sam worked with me until the issue was resolved -- which it was.These are, simply, terrific lock laces, at a very nice price, and backed by excellent service. And I bought them at regular price, so this ain't a paid review. (I use Anazon a lot, but tend to review only very good or very bad products; these laces are easily the best.

I recently received these and trying them out on my son's shoes. He is autistic so tying shoe laces the old fashioned way is a challenge. These would be a great product for individuals with special needs or disabilities. I have tried these after purchasing Lock Laces. The design is a little different but basically the same concept. The laces are long enough for my son's Converse Chuck Taylor high tops in men's 9.5 size to give you an idea. They are easy to use once you have placed the lock and toggle pieces on the laces. The price for these are more reasonable than the other brand though which is a plus. The laces for both brands are elastic with plastic locks and toggles but the materials are different so I am curious to see how durable these are compared to the others. I will say that I received really great customer service and communication which was a pleasant surprise. I think these are worth tryiout.

Laces are serving well in daily sneakers and saving me a little time going on. The round (as opposed to flat) profile causes a little noticeable pressure where lace goes thru the tongue retainer slot at the end of the day. Don't know if a flat lace would be any more comfortable or be as durable. As is, there seems to be negligible wear since the stretch replaces most of the friction from tightening the laces.

I ordered white, i got black!The product itself seems fine, but I haven't actually used them as they are the wrong color.

Does not work for older people who can't bend down to hold the tongue while pushing your foot into the shoe.

I followed the directions on the box. Wish their step 4 and 5 are reversed. After using the recommended length for cutting, I realized the laces are too short.

I've tried some other elastic shoelaces, and I've been happy, but these are so much nicer. (And, I might add, considerably less expensive than those I've tried.)I've got some hip issues that make it very hard for me to wear my sneakers. I've tried slip-on shoes, but none feel quite like my well-broken-in (i.e., old) sneakers, so I've just been dealing with the difficulty. They're fairly easy to install; I say "fairly", because one of the cord locks was a little tough, and these laces are thicker than most, but it's doable with a little patience.And now my comfy shoes are even more comfortable, due to the elasticity of the laces. I like these a lot.I'll keep buying these if they stay available.

Work great! Only 4 stars cause the pack I received was all white laces no black as expected.
