MOS Study Guide for Microsoft Excel Expert Exam MO-201

I’m certain the positive reviewers are predominantly Microsoft employees, or paid contractors . These books are horrible in every respect. You would think an organization like Microsoft would have published a much higher quality product. Here’s a short list of the issues encountered (I won’t list them all as it’s a waste of my time).1. Font is microscopic and light ink (meaning not black) or faded.2. What few graphics within are even smaller and exceedingly blurry.3. Ever heard of color? There is little if any.4. Ever heard of large-print? Good luck finding any.5. Content and lesson quality? Never found out as the books were unreadable.I’m on a limited budget, so I ordered these lesson plans directly from Microsoft Publishing because I read many reviews indicating they were stellar tutorials. Complete crap. These books are a scam, and the authors should be ashamed.I will be repeating this identical review for each book I purchased (I ordered them all at the same time and I’m in the process of returning every one of them).

I purchased this book to practice for the Microsoft MO-201 Exam. The book is well organized into four sections. Each of the four sections have objectives to achieve by practicing the examples provided using free Microsoft Excel download files! Thank You Microsoft! All files can be downloaded for free at the Microsoft Press website and is designed to support each of the four sections and it’s objectives. I just started reading the book and have found the book is easy to read. It is also very light to carry. I plan on using this book as a supplemental learning resource to the LinkedIn Learning MO-201 Exam course.

This book covers the topic and areas enough to get you started, but this book is not an exhaustive, detailed review. I found on many topics I had to refer to the Excel Help and Youtube for more detail.

There are many important functionalities and operational procedures embedded within the Excel 2019 software that is highly sophisticated and can help enhance executing various desired capabilities within the software application. There are many important detailed pieces of information about the varying types of functional commands, which can help to perform the necessary tasks in completing projects such as in different fields from engineering, accounting, data analyses, etc...

I used this to pass the Excel Expert exam. Excellent resource!

This book is not written in an instructive format. The exercises are lumped at the end and should be with the instructions. Not a helpful book.

The downloaded files for this book contain all of the files needed for the practice tasks. There are significant problems with these files. Some of the files are missing, while others are merely incomplete. If you're planning on studying for the MO-201 examination, you'll need to find some other sample files to work with.In the past I've had no problems downloading files for the Study Guides, and if there are problems with the printed book, they usually show up in the Errata section of the Microsoft Press web site. However, I've spotted several problems with this book (and the MO-200 Study Guide) and the errata is suspiciously empty. This may be indicative of a lack of care with these new series of Study Guides.

The product has typos and the exercise files are different from the ones shown on the book.Very disappointing.I expected the books to be high quality as they were from Microsoft but this looks like a project given to a summer intern with no one checking their work
