Review: Great starting point for causal analysis - code examples make it 5 * - This is one of the most accessible books for getting started with causal inference. Its not perfect however, but definitely one of the best Ive read. The text manages to move from perfect clarity with lucid examples to overwhelming complexity in a matter of paragraphs. Where its good, its great. Where its dense its a little overwhelming. Also I was disappointed that although it covered off pretty much all the key points, it missed out metalearners. However there are Python and R code example for everything on the website - which are awesome. So 5 stars. Review: Excellent book - a readable introsuctory book with programming examples

Difficult concepts made entertaining and relatively accessible. Perhaps a funny feature, but for such a book it's actually really lightweight, which is incredibly beneficial for someone who has to carry it to university and back several times a week.

Book is riddled with mistakes which makes you lose confidence to go further. I spent almost 2 hours trying to understand a simple set theory which didnt make sense at all with what is written. Finally, I gave up and checked the online version of this book and realized it is a mistake in the printed version! (Images attached) Given that this book was written in 2021, It is fair to expect that basic simple mistakes would have been corrected already. Given that I am a novice in causal inference, how do I recognize further mistakes in the material that might go unnoticed. If I have to double check every concept in the online version of the book, it completely defeats the purpose of owning a hard copy in the first place. Disappointed that I have spent 2500 bucks on this. Please stick to online version, it looks like hardcopies havent been upgraded since 2021.

Il libro è fatto bene e aiuta a consolidare le conoscenze in causal inference.

Excellent book, the reviews in the cover do it justice. You will still have to read it side by side with your standard graduate econometrics book such as Hansen’s recent textbook. What subtract from the book is the poor choice of fonts used, which renders math equations and symbols very badly. You can see that in the two photos - the better fonts correspond to the Angrist and Pischke book.

Un livre d'une très grand clarté qui offre un beau panorama de ce qui se fait de mieux en terme de research designs. Le style est agréable et les exemples (notamment les bouts de code) sont très utiles pour enseigner ! Merci Prof. Cunningham !
