Cat's Meow
My daughter wanted this so desperatly. She had the big Lion for years and it has held up to being laid on, bounced on and dragged around by it's tail. Now that she is older I felt better about getting something so big and costly in white (for what it is although it's a good price considering the size). When it came I was worried it wasn't the right thing or I had misunderstood the size. The box it came in was so small-much smaller than the orange tiger which we bought for my 2 year old twins. But it was just what I was expecting, I will complain about the tiger being squished up in the box in the appropriate shipping rating section as this is a review for the toy itself. Just as a warning the box clearly says what's in it printed on the outside of the box so if anyone is getting this for a child old enough to read then plan on making sure they don't see it sitting on the front step or answering the door for the delivery person. But the toy itself we love! Yes, the head is hard and not squishy-this allows for very life-like features, sometimes I think it's about to roar! And yes, it's not proportionate front to back-after all real tigers are HUGE and having a stuffed one that is life-sized and perfectly proportioned is not a realistic expectation, especially at the price it is offered at! Something life-like in every detail would cost several times the price. The size that it is is nice. A small/medium size child can lay on top and stretch out comfortably for story time. They can sit on it and pretend to ride through the jungle. They can also carry it around themselves (it's 2x the size of my 2 year old twins and I laugh everytime I see my little daughter carry her orange tiger around the house-she looks like Hercules!) this tiger and all the large Melissa and Doug stuffies (whe have the Lion, Cheetah, white and orange tigers) are wonderfully life-like, well made, and the kids just love them. For the enjoyment they get from them the price is more than reasonable, especially if you catch a good sale as they are often discounted. Anyone who complains is just nit-picking or had unrealistic expectations which is in no way the fault of the Tiger!

Insane quality for the price!
This tiger was a dream come true. My family has year round passes to the San Diego Zoo, and more than a few children(ok adults too) who want 1 of the massive stuffed animals in the window displays. My niece has been eyeing a $300 tiger for the last 2 years. While I would have loved to buy her that one...and almost did...i am now soooo glad I did not. Our package arrived in 3 or 4 days even with Prime, which i still think is great as it was a larger package and we din't pay any additional shipping costs. I will admit I was a bit concerned when the box first arrived as it weighed very little and was a bit smaller than i had expected. I decided to open it and give it a look before wrapping to insure I didn't get the wonky eye others had mentioned and give the weird nose a look. Our eyes were perfect! The nose is dyed, its not embroidered or a button like many other stuffed animals. I can see how it may bother some, however I view it as a bonus. For one I'm sure it's a cost thing and it doesnt bother me at all, also i know my niece wont ever give it the slightest thought. For me the best part about wonky nose is that its soft. Maybe its a little weird but y niece is going to snuggle the s*** out of this tiger and it will receive lots of nose kisses so the softer the better. Same goes for the weight, yes it is light but that will just make it easier for her to carry around. Our is solid it sits well, and really it just lovely. I loved it so much I am ashamed to admit I tried to convince my husband to let me keep it lol......yes i realize i failed to capitalize the majority of my i's.....

M&D Always Deliver
This is my second review of a M&D plush animal. The first was for this lovely animal: Melissa & Doug Tiger PlushMy now 11 years old daughter loves... LOVES.. Tigers (notice the capital T... that's how she would say it!). For three years now she has declared her life vocation is to work with white Siberian Tigers... preferably at a rescue habitat. She has never wavered. So I knew I couldn't go wrong with purchasing (adopting, in her book) this second plush tiger to live in her bedroom with "Hobbes", the first M&D Tiger to come live with us.Honestly, I cannot remember the name she gave to her lovely white tiger. Mainly because the name is exotic. And befitting to the stature of this "magnificent creature". Yes, her words, not mine.I've read of lot of negative reviews from people on the construction, proportions and believability of this plush animal and I just don't get their complaints. For one, it's a stuffed animal people. Not even Steiff can make them THAT believable. The proportions are a little off, but then again, it's a toy. If you want lifelike proportions, again, you need to go to Steiff... if you can afford it. As for construction? Not a problem here. "Hobbes" has lived with us for two years now and his sister, this white plush Tiger. They get tons of play time with my daughter and are used as pillows, riding animals, and at tea parties. All without popping one single thread. Grant it, they are indoor animals now, so they don't get dirty and when they do, they are promptly spot cleaned by me (with a damp cloth). Again, no complaints. When I see the joy that "Hobbes" and his sister, this M&D plush White Tiger, have brought to my daughter, and the fact they are still going strong, I cannot help but HIGHLY recommend them to any Tiger enthusiasts...as well any other M&D plush.
