How to view life in a nutshell

An excellent book, just right for the times. Easy to read and very educational. It made me want to know more about this helpful philosophy.

I wish it had more pages and covered modern literature as well. I want to see how it can be adapted in the modern world. Yes human nature hasnt changed but our understanding of the world has.

A nice collection of Stoic writings from the masters of the art, the section from Seneca was particularly powerful indeed!

Misleadingly says "Simone de Beauvoir" whereas this famous philosopher has nothing to do with this text. It is rather a (random?) collection of excerpts from well-known Stoic texts.

Includes ; - Enchiridion by Epictetus (30 pages) - On the Shortness of Life by Seneca (34 pages) - Meditations (books 4, 5, 9 & 12) by Marcus Aurelius (56 pages) Translated by Robert Dobbin, CDN Costa and Martin Hammond. These three offer ancient wisdom on how to face life's adversities and live well in the world.

So many things you can get from the three great minds

The quality of the print is fine. It’s a book that’s light but takes long to read slow.
