Takes time, be patient !! I am now into my fourth month of taking these and I am now noticing a great improvement! Since going through the menopause I noticed how a few of my fingernails had gone totally white and started to thicken in places and crumble from the nail bed. I tried all sorts of fungal nail treatments thinking it could be that! But nothing worked. I was told it could be psoriasis or eczema because the skin can really dry out after the menopause. So looked into various vitamins and came up with biotin and selenium as being a good answer to these skin disorders!! Since taking these I have never looked back!! I can now wear nail polish again. I haven't been able to wear it for the last 18 months or so and I am so happy!😀 Also I have noticed my hair is looking thicker and much more healthier. I noticed in particular that my hair along the temples and widows peak had receded ( oh it's brilliant this getting older bit ) !!! BUT now things are on the up ( touch wood ) !! I won't be stopping these and I thoroughly recommend them !! But as I said earlier BE PATIENT !!

Good value, too soon to tell if the supplement will work ,but good value

After stopping breastfeeding and losing a bit of hair postpartum, I started taking these for about 6 weeks now. They are small and easy to swallow tablets. I have noticed a definite improvement in my hair loss and seeing a little bit of new growth on my hair line. This is not only good for the hair but somehow once it started these my skin improved and most of my dryness was relieved as well. So win win for me with one nifty bottle of Biotin supplements. Also contains collagen which is essential for new cell growth in the body.

The container was not sealed which is unusual for any medication bought.

Avoid this company at all costs if you are looking for safe supplements to take. The bottle arrived unsealed which was the first red flag! The ingredients on the bottle differ from those advertised on Amazon. The Amazon advert says the tablets contain 100ug Selenium per serving 182%NRV. The bottle states the tablets contain 10mg Selenium 100%RN Unsure which one of these is correct and I won't take the chance. It is against the law to sell food products or supplements with misleading, inaccurate food labels so I suggest you avoid this company and use a reputable brand who can get their labelling correct. I tried to return these for a refund after reading the label but was told to contact the company which I did and got no response. They are not covered by Amazons return policy. Taking 10 milligrams (mg) of selenium a day is extremely dangerous and would almost certainly lead to selenium toxicity, also known as selenosis. Here's why and what could happen: Recommended Daily Intake (RDI): The recommended daily allowance for selenium for adults is around 55 micrograms (mcg) per day. Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL): The safe upper limit for selenium intake in adults is 400 mcg (0.4 mg) per day. You are asking about 10 mg, which is equivalent to 10,000 mcg – that's 25 times the safe upper limit! Symptoms of Selenium Toxicity (Selenosis) at such high doses can include: Gastrointestinal issues: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain. Hair and nail problems: Hair loss (alopecia), brittle nails, nail loss, nail discoloration, and deformation. Garlic breath: A distinct garlic-like odor on the breath is a classic symptom. Neurological problems: Fatigue, irritability, tremors, numbness or tingling (paresthesia), muscle weakness, and nerve damage. Skin issues: Skin rashes, lesions. Other serious effects: Kidney failure, heart failure, respiratory distress, and in severe cases, even death. In summary, 10mg of selenium daily is a highly toxic dose and would likely cause severe and potentially life-threatening health problems.

I must admit I was sceptical but as a 44 year old peri menopausal woman I've noticed my hair is thinning and after talking to a friend she recommended these. Have been using for 3 months (supposedly it takes around 6 months for major noticeable changes) and I've just started to notice a difference, hair is feeling less fragile and the growth is insane (also noticed my nails growing rapidly). I use alongside a paraben free shampoo and I'd definitely say it's making a noticeable difference.
