Loved these in paperback, got friends hooked on this series, needed to re-read them as ebooks!
This is a one of a kind Universe!Slave To Sensation -- "The Psy are perfect in their Silence."This is the book that launches an incredible series. The world building starts here, with the Psy having spent the past 100 years perfecting the Silence protocol which locks down, and out, all emotions. They are the logical, rational beings, neither human nor changelings, Psy can do things with their minds that other beings fear. Sascha has the potential to be a powerful Psy, but her power has never been realized, blocked for some reason, with no discernable ability, it appears she's flawed and will never rise in the political hierarchy her mother has reached the heights of.Lucas is an Alpha, the DarkRiver pack knows their leader will fight for them, would die for them, and will go to any lengths to protect them... but does Sascha truly understand the danger she risks doing business with him. This done in one book is as riveting a page turner the second and third time through as the first. In human form Lucas' panther shines through, whether it is in his physical movements, his tendency to view others as predator or prey, or how the importance of Pack informs so much of his life. This may be my all-time favorite shifter/changeling series, and I love how Lucas and Sascha kick it off.Visions of Heat - "Instead of the saviors of innocents, they became the most powerful tools of many a Psy enterprise."Faith has visions of the future... and just as she was taught, she can see how businesses will do, what inventions will work and be popular. All are visions are highly profitable. Until the day she glimpses something else entirely, and can't help but try and understand what's going on.Vaughn is drawn to the isolated home of a lone Psy. Well guarded, and protected, he comes to wonder if they're shielding her from the evils of her world, or caging her for reasons all their own. This done in one is a fantastic story. Two characters who understand pain, loss and isolation find themselves reaching for one another -- even as they aren't sure they can handle the contact, the risks of emotional pain, and the reality that they come from different worlds that have valid reasons for not trusting one another.Caressed by Ice - ..."the Arrows are a myth, a legend,"...Judd gave up his life as a Psy to protect his extended family. Now he's discovering something even more dangerous than the threat to his family... a lovely lady wolf who dares to make him feel.Brenna was tortured by a monster, but she's determined to not just physically recover from her wounds, but to recover her life. Oddly it is Judd, the Psy whose emotions are locked down by Silence, who makes her feel safe, strong, capable, like she can ask him anything and he'll give her the truth... but can he give her what her changeling heart most needs? This book builds on events in the first book in the series, and has appearances by characters from the first and second book. One of the fantastic things about the world building in this series is the community of characters that is built. We get to know, and recognize, the Psy Council, as well as key figures in both changeling packs.Mine to Possess -- "I will fight for you. But you have to fight, too.”Each book in this series is a step up from the previous book, in every way. There is a beauty to the writing that makes these a pure pleasure to read, and re-read, the changlings sense of pack, their use of skin privileges, but perhaps most special of all is the way their animals shine through in their 'human' interactions.Tally and Clay were best friends as children... but life tore them apart, and the emotional scars kept them apart. Now Tally needs Clay's help. As the two work together to save the lives of children who doubt anyone else even cares, much less is fighting for them, Sascha Tamsyn, and the pack work to not only help these two on their self appointed mission, but to heal as well.Tally gets a lesson in what it means to be Pack, and every time she learns something new, with every step forward she takes, her wounded soul can't help but pray, this time the Universe will let her keep her possessive cat, and give her the strength to stand beside him.Hostage to Pleasure -- "Ultimately, prisms create their own truths."Dorian's first encounter with Ashaya, in the previous book, left him confused. Why would a scientist fully enmeshed in the Silence protocol (ie living a life without emotions) help rescue two human children from the Pay lab where they were being experimented on? Now that their paths have crossed again, he's not just confused by her, he's curious enough to want to put the puzzle pieces together.Ashaya has spent years convincing her fellow Psy she was Silent, but now her life is reaching a point where things have to change. Part of her wants to embrace the possibilities, the rest of her knows the cost of giving up Silence is too high.

Psy-Changeling Books 1-51: Slave to SensationSascha Duncan (E-Psy) and Lucas Hunter (Dark River Alpha, Leopard)The Dark River Alpha, Lucas Hunter, knows that a Psy-psychopath is hunting down changeling women and killing them. Working with the changelings can keep her safe for a little longer, but it’s not long before she finds herself feeling emotions she should never experience…2: Visions of HeatFaith NightStar (F-Psy) and Vaughn D’Angelo (Dark River Sentinel, Jaguar)As a fore-seer, Faith NightStar has an almost perfect prediction rate, but the visions she has of murderous deeds are different, and are causing her shields on the psychic plane to fracture. She seeks out the help of the changelings, knowing that they’re the only ones who will be able to stop the murderer.Vaughn has no cause to love the Psy race, but he finds himself drawn to this Psy woman, with her visions of blood; and he is determined to save her.3: Caressed by IceBrenna Kincaid (Snow Dancer Wolf) and Judd Lauren (Tk-Psy)Once she was tortured and mind-raped by a psychopathic Psy, one who left his mark on her in ways she still feels. It is a surprise to her, therefore, when Brenna finds herself drawn to the cold, Psy member of her pack, Judd Lauren.Judd’s past is a bloody one, his training in Silence the only thing keeping him from accidentally killing with his strong abilities. He’s more than willing to protect Brenna, but finds his Silence constantly compromised in her presence.Triggers: torture, rape (on several levels in the past, referenced and spoken of, but not re-lived)4: Mine to PossessTalin McKade (human) and Clay BennettThey met as children, and when Clay killed her abusive foster father, they were forced apart. Now Talin has found Clay again, and when one of the children under her care disappears, she seeks out his help.Their pasts were bad, and the two who were once really close, have had all manner of issues since then. Clay will have to overcome the dark feelings Tally causes, while she will have to learn to trust again.Triggers: child abuse, s**ual abuse (in the past, referenced but not re-lived)5: Hostage to PleasureAshaya Aleine (M-Psy) and Dorian Christensen (Dark River Sentinel and sniper, latent Leopard)The woman who saved two children asked for one favour, save her son. Dark River sniper, Dorian, does precisely that, and is surprised when Ashaya Aleine herself appears several days later. She and her son are being hunted by the Psy, because of what she knows, and what she can do. Dorian finds himself driven to keep her safe. These make up the first five books in the ongoing Psy-Changeling world, and it is interesting going back and re-reading these again from the beginning. Certain factors we’ve seen in more recent books are actually rearing their heads in the early books, and with the knowledge of some of the characters who feature in later books, it’s interesting to see how they’re portrayed in these books. Each book centres around a different couple, but it’s all set within the same world, against the ongoing backdrop of the rapidly spiraling Psy race. Reading the books as an omnibus edition actually makes it much easier to see these background arcs evolve. This is an enjoyable way to read the series, and as always, the books themselves are entertaining and enjoyable reads. They’re good, sometimes with morally grey characters, and with a bit of a darker slant to them. They would appeal to readers of darker fantasy, darker thrillers (if you also like urban fantasy), and of course Paranormal Romance.

frustrating but good
This is five books. Great world building. Convincing characters. Interesting plot. Fun to read. Snarky dialogue.BUT… it’s the same plot for all 5 books. So it kind of drags after the first book. And, a pet peeve, the romance is entirely dependent on the fated mate meme, which means no developing romance, only decreasing resistance to an already determined relationship. Not my idea of fun.

Love these books!
I love this series and will re-read when I'm needing to fall into another world. The characters are great and each book builds on the last in a way that makes me want to keep reading through the entire series. This author is outstanding and I love the way her mind works to create this world with all the complicated connections.
