Ideal for emergency situations. Had no problem towing a bmw 3 series with this bar, fits nicely in the boot of the car. Easy to assemble too.

I read the reviews and thought I’d give it ago with the impression it was user error. The towing vehicle was a Land Rover discovery 4 and the towed vehicle was a Range Rover shell with no weight to it as the engine, gearbox, interior and other part were taken out. I had to brake twice. Once when I got home and half way through the tow I braked for red lights. Nothing major, standard soft braking with a lot of distance to loose speed (doing about 25mph to start with so not much speed to loose). When we got home, the bar was bent. I’d like to have a working version of this to hand as it was a great idea, but this one was poor quality and bent on first use.

This arrived in quick time I chose this one as it was advertised as hilka. It looks completely the same and looks and feels substantial. It's a Tool Zone make and not such a great deal as a search of the Webb you can find it at the same price. I haven't had to use it yet, let's hope it's as good as the hilka

Folded the first time I used it whilst slowly reversing on level ground. Very disappointing

I just had this delivered and there should have been three pins to lock the bar together, but there was two missing one for the middle and one at the end to stop it from coming off the tow bar.
