Magswitch Universal Featherboard Pro for Table Saw, Router Table, Band Saw, Woodworking Table Tools Accessories, Model 81101303

I purchased both this Universal Model and the larger Pro Model at the same time. The compactness of this Universal Model makes it my go to feather board for almost all ripping operations (reason being, I have a small table on my saw). And its just generally easier to use (lighter and physically smaller) ... and I'm getting to like it better and better all the time. While the magnets on the Universal are not as powerful as those on the Pro, it really hasn't mattered ... because they hold fine (no problems at all holding). The height of the Pro feathers are a little greater than those of this Universal. I find this to be positive both ways actually. It makes using the Universal with a Gripper push block easy ... because its low enough not to get in the way of the gripper push block for most operations. However, the Pro works well when ripping a board that's being pushed thru on its side. In that case the extra magnet strength and the taller feathers are welcomed. So I use the Pro for this kind of situation.I have to say that I'm glad to have both boards and recommend both. But I particularly like this Universal board.**** If I could only have one then I would have to go with this smaller Universal board (it just works much better for smaller tables). And its small enough to be of use on a 6" jointer as well (while the Pro is a bit too large for my jointer).

Magswitch - 8110015 Table Feather board Universal Model, Yellow is such a great safety accessory and functional tool to keep the wood tight to the table saw fence! The angled feather board design allows the wood to travel freely in the direction of the rotating table saw blade but resists the wood from dangerously kicking back to the user. The two magnet switches securely hold the feather board to the steel saw table and gives it the flexibility to be adjusted at a moment's notice just by turning the knobs on the magnet switches. I always use this magnetic feather board whenever I make any cuts on my table saw. It should be noted that this magnetic feather board, because of the magnets, will only work on steel table tops and not aluminum tabletops. The magnetic holding power of this feather board is so powerful, once engaged, I cannot move it with all of my strength pushing on it! I would not be without this magnetic feather board for safety and performance reasons!! The yellow plastic color provides great visibility when using the table saw. Excellent accessory!!!!!

Got a chance to try one out and realized in less than a minute that I wanted one. I have the style that clamp into the miter slots and while they work they can be cumbersome at times. Plus there have been many times when they would just not reach the stock because of the limitations.Well these magnets really hold this one in place wherever you place it on the cast iron. I purposely put it slightly over the miter slot and it still held great. But for me the bonus is this works even better for my band saw.The unit works so smoothly to engage and disengage the magnets. In fact I can't even tell they have grabbed until I try and move it. I can now Easily and QUICKLY disengage the featherboard, reposition it for the next piece, then continue ripping away. Takes me about 5 seconds. I LOVE THIS THING.

This is a game changer! The mag switches make setting up the featherboard and moving it around on the cast iron surfaces of my saws fast and sturdy.

This was a bit of an impulse buy. I saw it while shopping for something else and had to buy one just to see how well it works. Traditional feather boards are super handy but can be a bit of pain. Since you're limited by the miter slot; sometimes it doesn't reach and sometimes it's too big and you can't get close enough. I figured this might eliminate those issues. At the time of this review, I've been using it for about 5 months and I REALLY like it.The magnets are quite strong. You CAN move this thing after it is locked down but you really need to push hard. It holds really well on my cast-iron top. It is really convenient since you can put it anywhere there is metal on the saw. I store it on the metal cabinet of my saw which is easy to find when I need it. It can be operated with one hand if you are holding a board in the other hand. This is pretty much the only feather board I use on my table saw now. The only time I would not use it, is if I was ripping a really long board...like 10 foot +, by myself and I want to be lazy and not use an infeed support. It can be difficult to control the front of the board when you are holding it from the back, which can create allot of leverage against the fence and move the magnetic feather board. In this case I might use a traditional miter track featherboard that I know I can't move.I would buy another one of these if I ever saw it on sale, just to have it. Truthfully I have not run into a scenario where I needed more than one.

It works beautifully! So much better than the feather boards that use the miter slot. Holding power is impressive

This mag switch featherboad is fantastic. The magnets hold like crazy when switched on and release quickly when switched off. Quick to set up and quick to remove from your table saw or router table.

Davvero un ottimo prodotto, io lo ho acquistato con un po' di titubanza, non pensavo che i magneti avessero una buona tenuta sul piano di lavoro in ghisa, e in più mi sembrava un po' costoso come articolo. Mi sono dovuto ricredere, ha una super tenuta. Oggetto consigliato facilita molto il lavoro sia alla sega da banco che sulla tupie, a patto chi i pani di lavoro siano in materiale ferroso (sull'alluminio non si attacca) in oltre è ottimo per evitare infortuni perché evita che il pezzo in lavorazione toni indietro colpendoti.davvero un ottimo prodotto.
