I purchased after reading the other reviews. I’m so happy I made the purchase. These raisins are huge, juicy, sweet with lots of flavor.I do not regret buying 10lbs of these raisins. I will definitely reorder these again when we start running low. Best raisins I’ve ever had.

I was OK when I read one review that her bog of raisins was not sealed. When bags are filled for packing, someone has to fill the bag, unless the system is completely automated. When I order a large amount of herbs from Mountain Rose, some bags are sealed, some are just twist-tied. So, I don't think sealed or not sealed is any indication of quality or hygiene. Now on to the raisins themselves - these are huge, very fresh and absolutely delicious. I used to think fresh Monukka raisins were the apex of raisins, but these Red Flames are right up there as being fantastic! I ordered these in March and couldn't be more pleased!

I am 76, & these are the most delicious raisins that i've ever had--i bought 20 lbs & froze them in plastic bags...the raisins are very large, & some home cooks may object to that--they are not for any sort of dainty cooking unless the cook is in the mood to slice them in half...i eat lots of hot oatmeal; thus, i use raisins daily...bottom line, the taste & quality are superb...those critical of the packaging--get over it!...the raisins are not exposed to the elements in any way...BTW, i shared a few pounds of these raisins with one of my neighbors [in her 80s] who has traveled widely, & she said they are the best raisins she's had since she was in the Middle East...

My many previous shipments of these flame raisins have all deserved five stars, but the latest shipment loses two stars because the sunflower oil which prevents clumping was omitted. The result is that the raisins stick together in solid chunks, making them much less inviting as snacks and convenient for cooking.I may try adding a little edible oil to this batch. If it works, I'll update this review.Update: As I begin to consume these raisins, it becomes obvious that omission of the oil that's usually added to prevent clumping is the least of this shipment's problems. Some of the raisins could pass muster as jumbo, but many are the size of ordinary Thompsons or smaller, and they are all hard and dry. None of them have the succulence that kept me coming back for more, year after year. I'm hoping that this shipment is a rare anomaly, and that it doesn't reflect a change in Presto Sales's way of doing business. If my next shipment is like this one, I'll regretfully send it back and look for another souce of jumbo flame raisins.UPDATE October 2023. My next shipment of these raisins was back to the original high quality. Who knows the cause of the one bad shipment? Assuming that it was a one-time problem, I plan to keep ordering these fine raisins.

Almost taste like prunes but not. They are big and I chopped them up before putting them in cookies. Not bad!

The flame raisin is not your ordinary raisin. They are larger and much juicier and have much more taste than your everyday raisin bought at the grocery store. Great for snacking and cooking.

These are large sized with a good chew factor, but lackluster taste.

Package says these are Flame raisins. I disagree -- they look like, smell like, taste like Munakka raisins. They are large, sweet, soft, and incredible. They come in seven-pound bags. Open the bag, and the aroma will make your day. These are special raisins, with nuances of flavors. I've been looking for these for years. Enjoy.
