Golf F80 Mallet Putter, Red/Black with Oversize Putter Grip

Great putter!!! This putter hits just like my old spider at the fraction of cost. The other review said that this product chips easy. I’ve used it for a few weeks about four rounds, not chipped yet. Putting things in perspective, my spider seem to chip pretty easily too. I’d be very careful with it. Except it was around 400 bucks. I recommend this putter for people who do not care about spending a lot of money to feel that the putter is better.

I didn't know what to expect when I bought this putter. I was in the market to replace my old Nike Unitized Neo putter. To do so, I ordered several cheap putters all in different styles, blade putter, peripheral weighted putter, and two different styles mallet putters. My initial intention was to test them out and figure out the style I wanted then purchase a more expensive version of it. These plans were thwarted after I used this Orlimar F80 putter, it is a joy to roll the ball with. It has great weight to the head and is center weighted. The stock grip that comes with it surprised me with its quality and feel. The headcover is nothing to write home about, it is basically just a neoprene sleeve with velcro to attach it. Ultimately, this putter has taken strokes off my game and for price of 39.99 when I bought it, I would say that is an incredible deal. I have used a friends name brand Spider putter, and honestly, I feel almost no difference in quality and roll ability between the two. This putter is in-expensive and a winner in my book.

As you know, a putter is all about the feel and how it fits your eye to give you confidence. Whether that means spending hundreds of dollars or saving hundreds of dollars. Well, this is a decent putter for its price with balanced face, oversized Karma grip, and adequate insert. Don’t expect/compare this to the expensive name brand, but for most of us golfers it will work just fine. There are few cosmetic things that I wanted to point out: 1) color is more on the maroon side than the bright red as pictured which is ok with me, 2) quality is not the best where there are small knicks and bumps that are just painted over and some inside area (not visible when putting) is not fully painted but does not affect the performance, 3) as noted by others and on the description (now) it does not come with a cover, 4) double bend shaft looks little odd (this can totally just be me) where the face doesn’t seem perfectly perpendicular when held up but seems ok on the ground when putting. I looked at the TM Spider in the store and they looked perpendicular both on the ground and held up. Again, maybe it’s just a “me” thing and there is no impact to the performance. Personally, I like heavier putters, so I added some lead tape on the sole. I’ve used it a couple of rounds, and they feel great and gave me a lot of confidence when putting. No, I didn’t drain a 100 footer nor drop 10 strokes as a bogey golfer, but it gave consistent control and distance with solid sound to putt with confidence. I would certainly recommend this to others if you don’t mind the minor cosmetic things mentioned above.

It works really good. I am very happy with it, it's not expensive. My handle was easy to bend to position the putter head to where I preferred it by standing on the putter head and applying slight pressure on the handle. Can't beat it.

I was ordering parts to make my own mallet style putter and happened upon this putter which was cheaper than the parts I was about to order. Very solid putter, a bit longer than I like shaft wise, but it is excellent quality, I like the large grip, and I've made so many bet winning puts with it, I am very pleased!!!!

A very solid clone of the big name clubs, for less. Has a nice grip, solid weight, and nice balance. Gives you what you are looking for at a fraction of the big name price!

Overall I like this putter. This is my first mallet putter, and I don't golf enough right now to justify a more expensive one. The grip is a nice size. It is slightly oversized, but not huge. It has a flat face on the head side of the handle. I don't know if this was a flaw or on purpose, but the flat side of the grip is not 90 degrees with the head. That takes some adjusting to. I love the 50s/60s era space ship look to it. All in all I am happy with it, and other than the grip angle, any negatives would be nit-picking and to be expected with any putter in this price range.
