ACDelco Professional 45C0075 (89036877) Pitman Arm

I purchased this to replace a Moog Pitman Arm on my 2003 Hummer H2. The pivot joint on the Moog had worn out during the course of 5 years, despite having little off-road duty. I suspect the problem was caused by Moog's use of a foam ring for the grease seal. That foam ring was not rigid enough to hold the grease in the pivot joint, resulting in a dried-out pivot bearing. So I decided to try the AC Delco branded part this time. AC Delco has at least two levels of quality for their parts. The "ACDelco Professional" parts are made in Taiwan, and they generally have harder tempering and tighter tolerances. This one seemed better than the Moog part because the grease seal is made of urethane rubber which tightly covers the base of the pivot. I hope that will keep grease inside longer. I'll report about durability later. Before ordering, please know whether your vehicle uses a 3-groove or 4-groove spline to connect the steering box to the Pitman Arm. You should be able to see that by removing the retaining nut from the splined shaft. AC Delco part 45C0075 is the 3-groove arm, and 45C0069 is the 4-groove arm.

AC Delco makes quality replacement parts for all makes, but they are an especially good choice if you own a General Motors vehicle. Perfect fit and a good value!

Installed on a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD diesel. Being ACDelco the quality is just like OEM and I would buy this again without a doubt. Been installed for almost 3 months now with no issues.

If you are looking for a direct replacement for a 2001 GMC Yukon XL 2500 SLT with 8.1 and 4:10 rear gear, 3-spline, this is NOT it. You need AC Delco part number 19168473The steering box on this rig is the same part number as the Sierra 2500-3500 with duramax.
