So happy with this gadget. We bought a Ring doorbell in our old house that wired up to the main doorbell, which was grand and perfect. Then when we moved there was no in built doorbell so we was really disappointed with not being able to fit our doorbell here.A few months later we found this option, so we purchased it, not expecting any result, but was so, so happy to find that it works perfectly, it was a fantastic price and as yet we have none of the issues of buzzing that have been mentioned in other reviews.

Much cheaper than the branded item and works just the same! No issues with the humming at all as mentioned in some reviews! Plenty of length on the cable

So this is very easy to install and absolutely does the job. My only comment on this is that the transformer is quite bulky.

Stopped working after a week

Bought for an Eufy battery doorbell.Easy to install, quiet and remains cool.I actually like the way it seems to be "upside down" as the outlet is next to the ceiling (see photo) which suits my installation.With the Eufy doorbell (at least) it dosen't seem to actually charge the batteries, but maintains the charge they had when swapped to mains powered (80% in my case)....which I'm happy with.If it dosen't fail anytime soon I'll be a very happy bunny.It's now March 20th, it's still working, but, you can hear it humming, it's not an issue for me as it's on the porch.

The last owner of our home had been using a Ring doorbell. They took it with with them when they left, so we were left without a doorbell. This left an ugly space at the side of the door which really needed to be filled, so we decided to fit a replacement, even though we were not fully convinced of it's overall value. Well after installing it and having it present for a couple of week, we are Ring converts! it really is a great product. No longer do we need to wonder who is coming to the door, because they are per-announced every time, together with a perfect quality video. It really makes a difference to us feeling more secure both home and away, and we did not hesitate to sign up for the basic monitoring package. The cost more than justifies our piece of mind. I also highly recommend that you hard wire the device using a suitable transformer to alleviate the need to remove the device for charging, even though this only need to be done every 4-6 months.
