Good for simple sewing tasks. Mechanically reliable & trouble-free.
Took up sewing late in life & bought an older used machine (different brand) from a friend but had trouble with bobbin casing, so I bought this machine for a fresh start. I chose a model on the lower end of the price range, but not the cheapest, because I want to enjoy sewing without frustration. I dont need alot of bells & whistles! Have had it for over a year & am happy with it. I mostly just use it for clothing alterations, repairs & hemming. But have made several items without any issues with material thickness differences, thread tension errors nor thread disasters! This machine has a good variety of stitch designs & is easy to thread & navigate. My only two fusses: The Auto Thread Feature is not easy to use. Needs some further engineering upgrades! I gave up trying to use it. AND The machine does not come with a Manual. C’Mon Singer!!! - How much could it possibly cost to respectively include the Manual? Overall, am happy with this machine.

Singer can do better-Adding an edit
I have had Singer products for years as my mother did before me, so I was anxious to get this product. There is no manual and the one piece of paper guide was not very helpful. I had a terrible time getting this to work. The front loading bobbin was not a big problem as such, but that it constantly jams is. The machine is finicky, to say the least. I actually had to go to YouTube for information since the Singer site was not as helpful as I wanted it to be. I finally had to call the local Singer repair shop for help and they told me the side loading bobbin has some known issues. I am on the 5th bobbin which is finally working and the machine sews ok. But overall I am very disappointed with this purchase. The product was close to $200 and the minimum on repair is $100. Amazon only allows 30 days for a return. I wonder why. I'm adding on here about 1 month later. The machine seems to have worked out all its kinks-or I got better-and now works beautifully. No problem with any of the bobbins I am using and I have completed 5 projects without a hitch. I am totally converted to really liking this machine. It is what I expected from a Singer product.

Easy to use
Beautiful machine, easy to start sewing as soon as you plug it in! The tension was factory set and is perfect - no need to adjust. The large knob on the end on the plug side could use some texture to make it not slip out of your hand because it is so smooth (I wrapped a wide rubberband around it & I can keep a grip on it now). I would recommend it to anyone - love the foot raises higher than my old machine!

No manual
I am giving this machine just a 4 star for now because so far I am not sure of all of its abilities because a users manual did not come with it. Which was extremely frustrating and disappointing! I don’t understand why one was not sent with the machine. I went on line to singer.com to get one or to at least view it and there was one, but it was ONLY in the Dutch language. So I was able to send a message to singer requesting one. I feel very skeptical about receiving one. I will update this rating in a month or when and if I receive the manual. So far the machine is working great and I was able to watch a video that demonstrated the stitches which was very helpful. Thank God I know how to use the internet and I am literate. Well, I am impressed and very excited because I received an electronic manual from Singer the very next day! So now I can really get into to using my new sewing machine. So for now I am not seeing or experiencing any issues with my new machine. Thank you Singer for responding so quickly. For now, I will upgrade my rating to a 5 star because everything so far seems to be awesome with this new machine. I will write an update after I have a chance to use it for a while.

Perfect for beginners
I’ve never sewn before in my life and was able to sew memorial pillows for someone who passed away. Great little machine.

Poor Quality
I saw several positive reviews submitted about this machine. . I had this machine back in the box within 2 hours to return it. Needle threader did not work. The front load bobbin was difficult to install. I never got it. Perhaps the issues I had with it could be due to the operator (me). This machine was cheap looking as well. I bought a Singer 7285Q a little over a year ago. What a piece of equipment. Love it! A whole different machine. I purchased the M3330 through Amazon and shipped to my brother’s home in Florida. I winter in FL and wanted to do some sewing. I went to JoAnn’s Fabrics and bought another 7285Q. Runs like a Cadillac.

la máquina es excelente, tener en cuenta que es de 110w, en la publicación no lo dice, supongo porque en Estados Unidos es 110w, pero la energía de mi país es 220 asi que tuve que comprar un transformador,

Its good but a bit complicated and has some problems
It’s a good sewing machine it does its job and it works well when it’s working but the instructions are practically garbage you might as well look up a video from YouTube or something, it frequently unthreads which is annoying and some of the more complex stitches don’t seem to work very well either that or I’m doing it wrong it’s a bit complicated to use and figure out but once it’s working it’s good, I haven’t used very many sewing machines so I’m not that good and I have a bit of trouble using the backstitch, it’s quiet on a low setting like if you gently press down the foot pedal a little bit and thats good because i have autism and im sensitive to noise, its a little big and a little heavy but it does have a handle on the top which is nice, the cord is pretty short though

It is the best machine I have ever used, I am using electric sewing machine from last 10 yrs of another brand and now I wanted to change the brand, so I bought Singer's, the best part of it for me that it stitches stretchable fabric without any problem and it has many designs.....so, 10/10 from me, GO FOR IT WITHOUT HASITATION.....

Easy to set up, smooth stitching, and handles thick fabrics well. Perfect for quick fixes and creative projects. Highly recommend! Switching between stitch types is simple, and the controls are intuitive. Great for both experienced users and those just starting out.

I don't sew very much only because I tend to buy new if need be. But lately I've been tired of throwing away a pair of jeans that had a rip in them. So I bought this sewing machine. Reviews were good and took a chance. As I'm a newbie, I've had to figure out how to work it. I've done so many mistakes that I've had to take the machine apart on several occasions. Mostly just winging it...kinda my background on fixing stuff...aeronautical crap..lol. So not too difficult to figure out. When the thread breaks or gets stuck, it can be a chore to fix. But hey, I'm learning as I go along. The only issue is the threader. It is very delicate and gets out of line with the needle. I've had to surgically try to fix it on a couple of occasions...not for the faint of heart...even for me. You'll need some strong glasses and pretty small pair of needle nose tweezers. Getting better for sure and do recommend.

I am a beginner with zero sewing machine experience. I watch Youtube to learn how to sew and use the machine. Singer have videos on how to use this machine and they are very easy to follow. So far I love this machine, I have used it for my little quilts and other basic straight lines sewing projects. It was frustrating at first as i kept on getting stuck but once you get to know the machine and learn by mistake and troubleshoot, it is actually a hassle free sewing. Update: The most frustrating machine you will ever have. I couldn't even start sewing as the bobbin keeps jamming. I read articles, watch you tube videos',trial and error everything but it just seems to tangle and jam every time. Don't purchase this CRAP! Waste of money and time. Just DONT!
