Great quality and taste!
A solid breakfast value with a good helping of carbs and fiber. The product has a good taste of oats but use filtered water! I add a teaspoon of maple syrup for a treat! Oats can have pesticides but organics like this don't. I use my rice cooker which has a steel cut oats setting.

great value for money and quality
high quality oats and great value for money. no flakes or powder in the bags. dried steel cut oats that are convenient for overnight soaking and great chewy taste. No odor of any sort. Just the typical nutty oats aroma (slight hint) that you want from a healthy meal option. The size is neither too big nor too small for me.

Everyday Breakfast
I’m a repeat customer of Bob’s red mill organic oatmeal. It consistently good quality and free of additives. I enjoy the texture of the steel cut oats more so than rolled oats. Buying this in the four pack helps keep the cost down.

Tastes sooo GOOD!
I was told about steel cut oats by a client that likes to diet, and he told me that yes it takes longer to cook than instant oatmeal, but it is worth it, boy he was right! Full disclosure, I CANNOT stand instant oatmeal, I would have to force myself to eat it. The texture, taste, and basically everything about it, turns my stomach. This product is a far cry from instant oatmeal! Firstly, it takes about 15 minutes to cook after the water and salt get to a boil. Ensure you get the water (and salt) in the pot first, then get to a boil. After you see the water about to boil, add the serving of your choice to the pot, cover and put to a low simmer. Stir occasionally, and my doneness timing comes to about 15 minutes, or when the oats begin to get sticky on the bottom of the pot. I prefer an al dente dish as it reminds me of a good risotto. You can cook longer for a creamier texture, but I have not done that as that is not the texture I am going for. Now, the instructions say to add a pinch of salt, my opinion, salt to taste and use trial and error. For me, a pinch is not enough for a two serving bowl, I go with a teaspoon as it gives it more flavor. I do not add much salt to the rest of my dishes during the day, so I can live with splurging a little bit. At the price point for this pack of 4 is about what our local grocery store charges, but I have noticed that the availability of this product at our store has been limited lately. This product comes sealed and should last for a while. If I had to give this product a con, is that for a weekday breakfast, it will take you about 20 minutes from start to finish (5 minutes to get the water boiling, 15 to cook). Also, if you do not soak your pot immediately after cooking, cleanup get get a little tricky. If you plan ahead and are on top of the cleanup, you can avoid all the cons listed. I would recommend all to give this product a try and make it part of your balanced diet!

Excellent product . Very tasty ad good for your health . However it takes time to cook . So you should soak with milk overnight in the fridge to cook them fast . The steel cut oats are the best for your health, with other oats they are processed and increase your body sugar quickly leading to obesity
