Original Piece of the Berlin Wall - Authentic Souvenir from the Real Wall in Germany Mounted in Acrylic Display (Large (4"X4"), Divided City)

It arrived nearly wrapped. However, the small piece of concrete still separated from the plexiglass stand. But that can be easily fixed with Gorilla glue. Once done, it sits nicely on the shelf. I understand that the 4x4 is the size of the stand (which is a very good size), not the piece of wall itself. I am not buying building materials anyway. The certificate of authenticity also looks good. Is it really authentic? Maybe. But who cares. It’s a fantastic conversation piece as well as an object for personal pondering. Just like the skull in Hamlet’s hand. Do you care if it’s actually a plaster model or a real one which reeked rotten flesh? There’s a review that alludes connection between Berlin Wall and Trump’s wall. This is a rather disturbing thought, even as many people hold the same view. Trump’s wall, along with Great Wall of China, Hadrian’s Wall in England, and virtually all the city walls around the world, serve the exact same purpose: to keep unwanted people OUT. (You may argue shall we abolish national borders but that’s not relevant here). The evilness of Berlin Wall is that it KEEP ITS OWN PEOPLE IN. Whoever want to escape will be shot by their own government. To confuse these two fundamentally different concepts is ignorant and dangerous. Which will lead history to repeat itself. Well, maybe that’s why bad history keeps repeating itself ……. Now this interesting piece of history joins my expanding collection of WW2 and Cold War artifacts. With Marxism being taught in colleges and ANTIFA mobs roaming the street, looking at this will surely make you wonder: did we really win the Cold War? Or, did we actually “fight the wrong enemy”? …….

Having lived through Viet Nam and the Cold War it is neat to have a moment of that era.

I got this item for my colleague who is an avid Germany fan. She was actually there when the wall was being demolished. She loved it. I'll admit, though, that there's really no way to know if it's legit, so I can't speak to the authenticity of it. But like my grandpa who owned an antique shop for a while, most people just want the story and the aesthetics, the authenticity of the item is rarely what people care about.

arrived one day after ordering. came well packed and wrapped with plenty of filler to avoid jostling of the gift. good color on my piece, though I suspect they add the spray paint. Those sections of wall were too thick for everyone to get surface chunks. the paint also looks extremely new for something torn down in 1989. my MIL is half german and this is intended as a gift for her. we expect her to love it. it also doesnt matter which one you order. every item for sale on amazon for berlin wall chunks are through this vendor. so just order the price you want to pay. the cert is about the size of a postcard

Gifted this to my younger brother he likes collecting historical things he was super happy and excited to have the thing so it’s a win shipping was fast and delivery was awesome

It is nice having a cool piece of history. The piece was not as big as I was expecting it to be. I don't think it measured out to the fully advertised size. However, I am still happy with the purchase and think it is a great thing to have.

This piece of history is so important. I gave it to my husband, who loves history, for Christmas. It sits on our fireplace mantel.
