Best pot ever made
Grows huge plant as long as you only put water in the bottom and nothing else... Use compost teas and fertilizer on top only... I wait one day after bottom completely dries out and then put 2 gallons of fresh water in bottom and 1 Gallon of water on top with recharge in it or compost tea.

OMG, I'm buying another one.
Got my first couple in 2014, for my outdoor preschool classroom. First time grower, very success! Semi-retired with time on my hands I want to get a few more. All 4 lasted but one was accidentally thrown away😡 Starting to grow again on my patio, driveway and backyard. Hoping to get a few more boxes. Looking forward to helping those in need in my neighborhood. Love them so much.

Incredible bounty
I bought 2 Earth Box kits for this season's container garden, which I keep on an upper porch. The full kit included the box with grid and water pipe, 2 plastic covers, dolomite and fertilizer, and 4 casters. It's extremely easy to put together and the directions are very well written, with large, clear pictures. After box assembly, you need to add the 2 L of potting soil (this is 1 large bag easily found at any garden center), put in the dolomite and fertilizer as directed, and put the mulch cover on top. It took a little while because I was trying not to spill soil on my porch... but once filled it was ready for plants. At first I was tempted to put more plants into each box than recommended because 2 tomato plants (or 6 pepper plants) did not seem like enough. Resist this temptation and follow the directions!! These plants will grow huge and produce more bounty than you can imagine. It is truly unbelievable the number of cherry tomatoes I am getting from just one plant; every day I harvest about 25 - 30 tomatoes and this has been going on for about 10 days. The peppers are equally impressive. Each plant has grown to about 4 feet tall and is filled with huge, beautiful peppers. Because I was initially doubtful that these boxes could live up to the hype, I planted several of the same variety plants in individual containers like I usually do. There is no comparison; the Earth Box plants are easily 4 times the size of the others and have produced 10 times the vegetables! The growing process is so simple and effective I can't imagine going back to the usual containers. A word to the wise, however... When the plants get so huge they do require quite a lot of water. Through the hottest days I have had to replenish water every day. However, if you keep a hose nearby, the process is a snap. Just put the hose into the top of the little watering tube and let it run until you see a little water running out of the overflow drain near the bottom. I highly recommend the Earth Box and plan to buy another for next year's vegetable garden.

Excellent for small growing in small spaces
My parents have had Earth Boxes for years as additional growing spaces for various plants. This year, my husband and I chose to purchase these 2 and give it a go.While we do have above-ground garden beds, it was really fabulous to have these boxes to grow our pepper plants in since we were planting a few new items in our beds that needed lots of space. These boxes, unlike my parents, came with wheels which in theory is really great but due to the shape and fluctuating heights of our backyard, made it challenging to put the boxes where we were initially planning. That is not the box's fault, but poor planning on our part. The boxes were easy to assemble with very clear instructions as well as recommendations for planting, which we used. Overall, I would highly recommend these for people who want additional space or who have limited space and want to grow.

A breeze to set-up
First time using an EARTHBOX. Amazingly easy to set up - took just a few minutes. Some reviews mentioned castor-wheels falling off. It is not enough to just place the spokes of the castor-wheels into the holes. You have to turn the box upside-down and push the castors in firmly till they click into place - I have been lifting the boxes and moving them around and the castor-wheels have not fallen off.In my hot and humid tropical isle, mosquitoes are a BIG issue. To prevent them breeding in the reservoir, I cut a piece of carbon filter from leftovers after replacing the filter in my cookerhood, and place it over the drainage hole ON THE INSIDE of the Earthbox, before putting in the screen. I flipped the box over and checked - the filter fits snugly over the hole. After filling the box with potting mix, and planting the seedlings, I filled the reservoir and checked that the water overflow was not impeded by the carbon filter. I also fashioned a cover for the watering tube to prevent the mosquitoes going into the reservoir that way.Now I wait to see if my corn will grow - will update later.UPDATE: Soaked corn kernels for about one day, and sow them directly into prepared EARTHBOX, put on the mulch cover as directed - 13 of the 16 seeds germinated in less than two days! wow! Now, after less than 4 days, the seedlings are already about 10 inches tall, and look really strong and healthy. The EARTHBOX reservoir is keeping the potting mix nice and moist. I am so happy with this that I have already ordered three more EARTBOXes, and planning what plants to grow in them! ^^

Great Product
This is my first experience with raised container gardening. This container is sturdy and easy to put together. The casters make it so easy to move. I am using this for my tomato plants and they are flourishing. I have blossoms on all plants. The container system is great and I like all the products that are included. Only thing left to add is soil and plants. I liked this so much I just ordered another one.
